I'm not one who can afford expensive scopes for my rifles. I can't see paying more money for the scope than the rifle. I saw these Millet scopes at a reasonable price so I bought one to try. I put it on one of my AR's and it worked out so good that I bought one for 4 of my AR's and 2 for my M1A's. I think it's a great little scope for the money. They are made in China but who cares they work for me.

Millett Scope

Scope is very crisp and clear. I like the fact that there are cross hairs even when illumination is off or battery is low/dead. Easy to acquire targets with the donut retical. I'm going to use it for hunting, but it would be perfect for 3-gun or tactical uses.

Millett 1-4 x 24 DMS Designated Marksman Red-Dot Riflescope

This is a great product if one chooses to go in the mid-range price category, rather than spend $1k+ for a scope & is quite the upgrade to basic red dot optics. I have always had good experiences with Millett products, whether iron [replacement] sites or optics, and this one is another. I also like the finish & that it came with a cloth cover. It was mounted on a DPMS M4 in 6.8 SPC & handles the recoil just fine.

Recreational Shooter and Avid Hunter

Great Scope for the Money. I use this scope on my Ar-15 dedicated Hog Gun. Very Lightweight. the 1x-4x has covered turrets so no worries about knocking the dial off of zero. I have (3) of these and am very happy.
also a nice feature is raised spot on the Zoom dial to let you know what power it is set to without looking.

Great Scope

Item purchased was actually the new 1-6x24 DMS-2. I have purchased several of the 1-4x DMS-1's and have been happy with all. The same applies to the new 1-6x. You cannot buy a better scope of this type anywhere near the same price.

Tactical Shooter

Great scope, have it mounted on M1A, is accurate out to 300 yards, rapid target acquisition. Most impressive is the durability, the weapon was dropped at the range landing on the scope, bending the eyepiece down about 1/8 - 1/4 inch. While at the range straightened scope, focus was perfect. Elevation was off by 6 inch. Adjusted and fired 40 rounds at all settings with no problems...Made a believer out of me..!!!
Pros: Durable / great optic
Cons: Would like solid clicks on elevation & windage adjustment.

Great value

Great scope for the money. Other scopes in this class cost $400-$600 more. Its a little longer and heavier than I anticipated but not a problem (one inch longer and 2 oz heavier that similar models). The reticle is black without illumination. This a feature I like. No battery, no problem...it still works. The red dot is only visiable in low light conditions. Again, no problem. I leave it on "11" and it's visible when needed and not visable when not needed. I mount all my AR scopes with the quick detach PEPR mount so I can switch in and out easily. There are better scopes but you'll pay $800+. This is one of the rare exceptions that you actually get more that what you pay for.

Very Nice

I just received my scope today and I am very pleased. It comes with an extra battery for the illuminated reticle which I found to be very bright. The scope is a little larger than I had imagined but not overly so. I love the design of the reticle and the unit seems to be well made. I am eager to put it to use atop my Ruger Ranch Rifle.
Pros: well made, great reticle, 11 brightness settings, value
Cons: 30mm tube requires special rings I had to purchase

Everything Expected

Great scope, provides a perfect addition to my 30-30 for anything from 20- 150 yds.
Pros: Not to expensive for the type of scope, does all it is intended to do very well
Cons: Illumination is barely noticeable during average light daytime but under those conditions is not needed
