Most Helpful Positive Review Nice Clean Look
I have 2 of these mounts for my ARs and love them. They are smooth and clean so they won't hold a bunch of dirt, have 4 recoil lugs on the bottom of the base, to keep it mounted tight where it should be. They fit my AR Pic rail very well and give a LOT of scope eye relief adjustment front to back. The only downfall I can see is in the instructions or lack of. I didn't get any for either of my mounts, not that it's hard to figure out how to mount it. But some torque spec would have been nice. So I torqued the scope caps at 15 inch pounds and the base to 20 inch pounds, both with #242 Medium Loc...

Excellent Mount for the money

by Randy99, Verified Owner from NM, United States Written on March 30, 2024
I am glad I found this item, it works as well as the expensive pieces but costs much less. It really does the job, I used the 30mm mounts and this one is flawless. Some others might be lighter (and less rugged) or may be more stylish but this one does all you need. I have others with the big names painted on them but they cost $80 or $100 and really aren't any better.
I really like that the rail mount is four flush torx screws, I don't like the type that only has a couple of big nuts that stick out. They give you the torx wrench and even include four spare screws in case you need them.
Pros:
  • Cheap and works as well as the others.
Cons:
  • Not light but very sturdy
Best Used for:
  • Heavy scopes

Sturdy and Strong

by Randy99, Verified Owner from NM, United States Written on March 21, 2024
These are fairly heavy and strong and exactly what I needed for the 20+ ounce scope I bought for my AR varmint rifle. The mount I tried before this one was too thin and light and didn't seem strong enough.
This is a flawless mount and a steal at the price. Other name-brand mounts sell for $100 and up, these are much less than that.
I like that the base is attached with four torx screws instead of big exposed nuts like some do. Also, this is the only mount I've ever seen that gives you the torx wrench and also four extra screws in case one strips out. Very thoughtful.
This mount is so good I bought a spare for the next build.
Pros:
  • Strong, durable, low price.
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • all scopes, especially heavy ones

Monstrum Extended Series Offset Cantilever Picatinny Scope Mount

by Dan, Verified Owner from AZ, United States Written on September 30, 2023
I bought this for a .308 caliber rifle, and it held steady. It has teeth that fit in the picatinny rail gaps to make it extra sturdy. The leading name brand wanted $148, so I saved $120 and shot 50+ rounds with no loss of zero.
