An Extremely Cheap Scope That Can Still Carry Its Own Water
I picked this scope up as a temporary piece of glass to use for breaking in my new SA M1A Squad Scout until I could save up/acquire a proper piece of glass (planning to go with a SwampFox x1-x10 LPVO) as well as serving as a short/medium range scope on my AR15 (setup in a MK12 SPR format). So far it’s done the job just fine, it’s nothing spectacular but for the price it’s hard to beat. If you need a scope on the cheap that will still hold zero and serve its role in the field while hunting or plinking, then this isn’t a bad option- I’ve usually gone with Monstrum or Vortex scopes and thus far they’ve never let me down… now for clarity and quality of long range viewing, this isn’t your best bet, but hey, it’s meant to be a short to medium range optic anyway. So far it’s done right by me and I wouldn’t not recommend it to a friend, but unless you’re just needing a decent optic for a few weekends of hunting or plinking, I have a feeling this little scope could get worn out pretty easily with heavy use.
Pros:
- Cheap
- decent clarity
Cons:
- Turrets Feel Prone to Early Breakage/Slipping
- Not Super Clear When Pushed Out to Distance/Max Range
Best Used for:
- Occassional Hunting, Target Practice, and Emergency Situations
Would recommend: Yes
