Wall's Review of Mueller Optics 40-56 Side Focus Target Dot Rifle Scope

I really wanted to like this scope as it was 1/8 MOA per click and was a high power. I will say it does track correctly and there isn't much chromatic abbrasion for a 40 power scope. Unfortunately the clarity is poor and is nearly impossible to use at 100 yards with an official IBS rimfire target. I bought specifically for this purpose so I am returning the scope.
Pros:
  • It's 40 power and fine at 50 yards. Parallax adjusts down 25 yards.
Cons:
  • Clarity is very poor.
Best Used for:
  • Target shooting under 100 yards.
