decent scope
Good scope for the $ its not some 1500$ nightforce but for a benchrest scope and the price im happy with it. Sometimes you don't need the most expensive. I got this for some 100yd 6mm ppc benchrest. So if you're considering this for something like that I'd say it's a good buy

Promise Unfulfilled
Purchased this scope to use to shoot smallbore Dewar competition which shoots two stages, one at 50 yds and then a second at 100yds. As noted in other reviews, the optics are good, especially for the price, but not great. Still, it would be adequate to the job but for two issues. First, and foremost...

Second Purchase
My 'first purchase' review from a couple of years back still stands. It is a bit dark, as all high mag scopes tend to be, but the cross hairs and dot are sharp and clear. For a budget high mag target scope, this one is hard to beat. Like the first one, this one is holding zero and appears to be well made ... with quality and value way above its price point. I highly recommend this scope for club level benchrest 22lr target competition.
Pros:
- Sharp, fine cross hairs and dot
Cons:
- Dark is target is not well lit
Best Used for:
- benchrest shooting
Would recommend: Yes
Sub Par clarity on Scope
I really wanted to like this scope as it was 1/8 MOA per click and was a high power. I will say it does track correctly and there isn't much chromatic abbrasion for a 40 power scope. Unfortunately the clarity is poor and is nearly impossible to use at 100 yards with an official IBS rimfire target. I bought specifically for this purpose so I am returning the scope.
Pros:
- It's 40 power and fine at 50 yards. Parallax adjusts down 25 yards.
Cons:
- Clarity is very poor.
Best Used for:
- Target shooting under 100 yards.
Would recommend: No

Good Entry Level Target Scope
I bought this scope for informal 22 rimfire bench rest shooting at a local club. For that purpose, it has worked great with decent glass and a nice fine, clear dot reticle. The eyepiece focus is smooth, as is the parallax adjustment (but very tight, which is not a hindrance for me). The windage and elevation knobs do not have the click crispness of a Sightron or any high-end scope, but I find them acceptable. Most importantly for me, the scope holds zero and allows for good target acquisition at 50 and 100 yards. If you keep in mind that this is an entry level, dedicated bench scope - available at a bargain price, then I think you'll be happy.
Pros:
- clear, crisp reticle
Cons:
- Elevation/Windage Knobs a Bit Mushy
Best Used for:
- Stationary Bench Precision Shooting
Would recommend: Yes
Muller optics scope

Cons:

Mueller Optics 40-56 Side Focus Target Dot Rifle Scope
The scope’s clarity is poor even bright sun light. It was like that from the beginning. I would not purchase it again. Maybe my scope is exception. I thought the scope price was fair. The magnification was good offense ability of a distance is poor because of lack of clarity.

Nice high powered scope for the price
Bought this scope to use on a Savage B22 Precision used for 50 yard benchrest competitions and am very happy with it. I did not want to spend $1,000 or more for a great scope, reviews I saw for this one were pretty good. I have to say the image clarity is as good or better than I expected, 56mm objective and 30mm tube allow plenty of light in for a fairly bright picture. Nice clicks on the adjusters and has been holding zero as it should. Nice fine line reticle without all the clutter many other scopes have for distance measuring since it is not needed with a known distance competition scope. This scope is perfect for 50 or even 100 yard shooting if you want a decent scope and don't want to break the bank. I doubt I would shoot any better with a more expensive scope, this one does the job just fine.
Pros:
- Price, image clarity and 40 power
Cons:
- none so far
Best Used for:
- 50 or 100 yard benchrest competitions
Would recommend: Yes

Very good scope
For the price this scope preforms very well. For what I use it for the scope is great. I have it mounted on a CZ 457 Varmint MTR to compete in ARA matches. The target is nice and clear. The scope adjust like it should and the knobs adjust smoothly with a nice click to let you know of each adjustment.
Pros:
- Price, quality
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:
- Matches, target practice
Would recommend: Yes
