Most Helpful Positive Review iron sight
This sight was exactly what I was looking for for my rifle.only drawback was that it is not secure on the rear of sight sliding side to side. I used double sided moulding tape and tightened down which cured problem. Still great buy for price. Pros: great value for price Cons: not very secure on rear...

Most Helpful Negative Review Not even one star
The sight moves back and forth on the mount just by touching it. There's no way this thing will hold a zero. I'm not even going to put it on my rifle. Chinese trash, they're selling us junk on purpose.

Hits out to 500 yds.

by Jones, Verified Owner from NC, United States Written on February 13, 2023
Bought for my dads 16" budget rifle. Paired with a NcSTAR folding front sight. Had him test them out on my range and he was able to get hits on steel D zone sized targets out to 500yds using M193 ball ammo. I'd say they are reasonably good for the price.
Pros:
  • Work As It Should
  • adjust well
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • Range shooting / training

NCstar ar15 rear sight

by Bubba, from CA, United States Written on August 4, 2016
These are awesome and easy to sight in. They zero in quick and hold. Opticplanet shipped it quick and followed up with me about it. Best company to buy from. I have bought4 sights from them, clothes and gear and they have always been professional and on top of questions asked.

Not for the professional

by Trad Shooter, from CO, United States Written on May 5, 2016
The entire aperture base is pretty loose from side to side. I think that it is still fine if you are not shooting a competition or something like that.

The price is still pretty good but the quality does reflect the price.
Pros:
  • Price
Cons:
  • Poorly machined
Best Used for:
  • general shooting short-mid range

Looks only

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from OH, United States Written on February 21, 2013
It looks really cool on my AR pistol build. I will never use it unless my Bushnell TRS-25 fails. It will work its way lose. Add your own spring or lock washer.
Pros: Its a cool A2 rear sight for a flat top.
Cons: No sping or lock washer
