Most Helpful Positive Review Overall good value
So far seems to be a good value. Mount is solid and laser is good at least indoors in a limited space area. Could use better setup and adjustment instructions. I am technically competent but someone with little mechanical skills could have trouble such as stripping adjustment screws. It is quite eas...

Most Helpful Negative Review save money for a better laser
To make a long story short, this laser is well designed. Four screw windage/elevation system locks the laser tightly in position. But these four tiny screws do not last. Those tiny holes on the back of the screws where you insert the Allen wrench quickly wear out, even before the laser was really...

Lame and not reliable

by CR, Verified Owner from FL, United States Written on December 17, 2020
So the adjustments are basically 4 set screws holding the laser in place but not attached to it in anyway, getting zeroed is extremely difficult since you're pinching it into place. No way i trust it to hold zero on my ar so. Its going on the pellet rifle.

Reason it's cheap

by Turtle, from OH, United States Written on August 12, 2018
So there is a reason this is so cheap guys. First off, when it comes, it is very confusing as there is tape over the key pin for the rail. Once you figure it out, and figure out the right procedure for the batteries, this is where the fun begins.

As you mount it, you will notice that there are 2 ALLAN heads that adjust up/down, right/left. Useless. The reason it's useless is that it doesn't hold up. I spent 25 minutes, along with a bore laser and still could zero it completely. the only way to do it, would be to turn it in such a manner that the on/off slider was up and down, and not usable on an under mount.

But wait, there's more. Once I set it up, I figure, let's try it out. As I stand on the line, with many others waiting to show all these iron sighted losers how I upgraded my game, and went to PEW PEW mode, imagine my surprise when I hear the range spotter yell, "miss"... "miss"... Mind you, I had just about zeroed it with a bore sight, so unless the bullet was a decedent of the Oswald magic bullet family, something was a miss. Being the skilled weekend warrior, I pressed forth. I finished the mag, realized it was very low and left. I grabbed my included Allen wrench, and adjust it only to find, it won't go any farther.

At this point, I go with traditional iron sights, as I don't want to look even more stupid. As I stair down the sights, line up the paper target that I am ready to dispatch with extreme prejudice, and squeeze a round off, boom. I see this black thing f...

Cheap Laser

by Andy, from TX, United States Written on November 17, 2015
You get what you pay for. The laser is probably ok fir a BB Gun, but I wouldn't use it on anything else. Ill constructed, cheap and terrible on-off switch. Avoid this and soend a few bucks more for a good laser.

for 20 bucks not bad so far

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on June 20, 2013
Haven't had the chance to shoot with it yet. The four screw sighting in not hard just in a bad placement. I couldn't really adjust the top screw while it was mounted on the gun where I wanted it (on off switch and finger reach). But not bad enough not to order another
Pros: cheap seems bright enough for a red dot
Cons: sighting in

Better than expected

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from IL, United States Written on April 30, 2013
This is a great training tool (dry-firing and at the range). The laser is bright and mounts solidly. It is a bit hard to zero at first. I would buy it again.
Pros: Training Aid
Cons: hard to zero at first

Excellent laser for the price

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner Written on October 7, 2011
When this is coupled with the $4.00 Laser pressure coil wire switch, also by NcStar, this makes for a near perfect remote switch laser. I really can't find anything to complain about.
The set-up and sight-in was fairly quick. Loosening the middle fastener on the laser's mount will loosen the laser so it can be rotated in it's mount. I did this to put the laser's sight adjustment screws straight up and down and left to right. This made sight-in a breeze.
The laser is plenty bright and one heckuva buy at $20.00. Well, $24.00 total if you buy the remote pressure switch. (I recommend this highly.)
However, the stock manual switch on the back end of the laser works plenty good on it's own. It's just so much easier to have that touch pad right under your thumb so you do not have the loosen your grip on the weapon to reach for that manual switch on the tail end of the laser's body.
I have mounted this unit on my pistol grip only 12 ga. NEF Parder Pump. No laser shift when firing low recoil buckshot. So far, so good.
Pros: ease of set-up and use
Cons: none yet

This a great laser for the price. Too Big for a mini carry like a Kel-Tec, but works well for my Sig. Beats night sights for instant sighting.
