Length works, but the pockets are a joke unless you have vertical mags. I wouldn't recommend it for anything with a curved magazine. I can't even close the pockets. Will not work for AK or extended magazines.

Feels fairly sturdy for the $18-24 I paid for it. Lugging around an 18" .223 Wylde that was a bit too long for the 36" bags I had. Its no $100 bag but for a tenth of the price I have no complaints. I purchased the 40" bag and it is 40".

I ordered a 40” which fits my .30-30, and a 42” both came the same length 40 inches. My .30-06 Remington 7400 it is 42” and it is two inches too long for the case. It was also packaged as a 42”. I’m not happy with my 42” rifle case.

Seems to be a very sturdy and well made case, especially for the low price. My only complaint would be that there is one flap for all magazine pockets. I would prefer individual flaps, but not that big of a drawback. All in all, I was very pleased with the case. Optic Planet A+ as always. �

I ordered a black 38 and green 36 inch bag. The 38 is close enough but the 36 is only around 33 inches long. My ar with the stock fully compressed can barely fit inside with the zipper straining to Close. Other than that it's ok for the price. Order a few inches bigger than you need as it seems random.

Arrived quickly-great price and quality. Heavy duty material and zipper. 30 round mags fit in the mag pockets perfectly.

Fit my new ar 15 perfect. Love the color choioces. Would highly recommend this product.

My AR-15 fits in this case just right. I like all the pockets for putting my mags in and outher things I may need. The zippers have holes on them to put a lock on it. Over all very good for caring AR.

I don't know how they measure these cases at VISM, but they are not the length stated. Even measuring the outside of the case, it does not measure the length advertised. Could have been a 5 star review, if VISM could read a tape measure.
I ordered 3 cases in advertised 38", 40" and 42" lengths. The "38 inch" measures 37" on the outside and 36" on the inside (a 36" long rifle would probably be a tight fit, when you try to zip the case, especially if you have a bipod that doesn't allow the barrel to fit down into the front corner of the case). The "40 inch" measures 39.25" on the outside and 38" on the inside (again, I think a 38" long rifle will be a tight fit). The "42 inch" measures 41.5" on the outside and 40.5" on the inside (once again, I would not expect to put a 40.5" long rifle in it comfortably).
On the other hand, I have a 36" Allen brand case and it measures 36.5", on the INSIDE.
As I now see another reviewer stated...order at least 2" longer than what is needed and you will probably be ok in most situations.

Just fits my Ruger PC9 Carbine with sight. Main zipper has a good solid feel but I wish the magazine pouch flap had a zipper or snaps or something instead of velcro (it's loud and will wear out faster). Each of the 5 magazine pouches can easily fit 2 of my 10rd Security 9 magazines, so I could carry 10 total. Good value for the money.

Good soft cases for the money. But be aware that they are actually shorter than the advertised length. Measure what length you need to fit your rifle, then order a case that's 2 inches longer, and it should fit. The cases don't even measure the length advertised down the spine, maybe they're trying to calculate some measurement at an angle, but it still comes up short compared to the advertised size. Again, just save yourself the hassle of a return and exchange, order 2 inches larger, hopefully that fits on the first try for you then.
