No “Nextride QPQ” finish.
I was hoping to find a decently priced nitrited castle nut. I didn’t want to spend $20 on a nut, but wouldn’t mind paying a little more for a nicer finish.
I foolishly bought two, at separate times.
I recently opened both packages to find them in heavy cosmoline.
I clean them off to take a look and they have a mag phosphate finish. Typical mil-spec finish with handling marks, like they were in a bin. One had a crack in the spanner wrench notch, I won’t try to use that one.
The ones I received did not have a “Nextride QPQ” finish. No need to overpay for a regular nut IMO.
I’d recommend a WMD Nitromet nut if you’re looking for a nicer appearance.
