Best rail you can get for the price.
Hands down just as good as Badger Ordinance if not better because everyone is having trouble with the Badger bolts breaking. Price is on par. You get fast and free shipping from Opticsplanet. You can't go wrong.
Pros: Solid!..I mean really solid..well made rail.
Cons: expensive but worth it.

Dissapointing
It is very frustrating writing this review. I expected so much more from Nightforce. First off, the ovaled/slotted screw holes and flat based machine screws ALLOW for base movement while on the reciever. The recoil lug helps with this but is not a guarantee. To eliminate possible movement and to cen...

My favorite base for Rem700
This is by far the best base I have found for a Remington 700
Would recommend: Yes
Only use with steel rings
The Bad: This base ruined aluminum scope rings on my 300wm; scope came right off the back. Because the lugs don’t go completely across the base, the short lugs sheered the lugs off my aluminum scope rings. THE GOOD: I replaced with Nightforce steel rings and now it’s rock solid and perfect. Check your metal when picking components.

solid base. can't complain besides the price
put this on my long distance rifle build. its super solid. has a recoil lug. hard to justify the price but when you spend so much on a rifle and a scope I just can't see skimping on rings and a base... so here is what I bought...

Nightforce
Best bases i have ever used, and go with the rings and scope from the same company. solid base to secure with Nightforce rings at the recommended 68 inch pounds of torque recommended by Nightforce. Little heavier than the aluminum bases, but it is rock solid when applied correctly.

Best base out there if u have the $ for it.
I've got 4 of these NF Extreme Duty 20 MOA bases on my rifles with 4 sets of NF Ultralite Rings. These bases are made true and I've yet to need to bed 1. I have 1 on my custom 6.5x47 Lapua rifle and my gunsmith said it set perfectly after the bolt holes were drilled and retapped to 8-32 instead of original 6-40. I'm a machinist and have used special equipment at work that read degrees and angles and all mine have been at least 20 MOA. Great thing with NF is they make 0, 10, 20, 30, & 40 MOA bases for the main types of actions used for precision shooting. I've shot all 4 of my rifles with them on it out to 600yrds minimum and up to 1,150yrds. They have never let me down and despite a few getting bumped around have stayed true and also the finish still looks great lol.
Best Used for:
- Competition Shooting
- Precision shooting
- Long & mid range hunting
- Long range practical style matches

Very high quality
This scope base is exactly what I was looking for. It is made of high quality materials and fits my action perfectly. I will be ordering this base again in the future. Optics Planet was again very good to work with and everyone should consider buying their accessories through their company.

As Advertised
Product is as advertised and arrived earlier then anticipated. This steel one is the way to go compared to aluminium. Much more durable. For me, the one piece was far more desirable then the two piece.

Great Rail
Put this on my 6.5 creedmoor paired with nightforce rings and a vortex PST 6-24 FFP. The base is rock solid and with it my elevation turret is 2MOA from being completely bottomed out giving me tons of elevation adjustment, which will hopefully allow me to stretch this rifle all the way out to a mile!
Pros:
- None
Cons:
- I wish Optics Planet would process and ship their orders faster!

Good product but heavy
I bought this rail and Nightforce 30MM steel ring set to go on my Christensen Arms Ridgeline. I ended up sending the Nightforce rings back and buying the Larue LT123 QD rings which weighed 4.4 OZ vs 8.0 OZ. Since the Nightforce rail doesn't have the picatinny notch running through the center of the rail, it caused my Larue Rings to slide forward which ultimately damaged the rings. I called Larue and they replaced the rings for free, and they also said they sell a 20 MOA rail off-line for $75. After receiving the Larue rail, I weighed the Larue vs the Nightforce and the rail weighed 2.3 OZ vs 5.5 OZ (without screws). Night force have optics figured out, but you should only go Larue for mounts.

Solid as a rock..
Just like the Nightforce scopes, rings and accessories i have these are top of the line. I've never had to do any work on my NF bases. They always just fall into place almost as if they were machined. My best by far!
Pros:
- Everything about it.
Cons:
- None !!!
Best Used for:
- All of your optical needs!
