Most Helpful Negative Review Not dependable
These binoculars are not waterproof. I used them for 2 months (they have a warranty of 25 years, one would think 2 months would not be a problem) and they started getting foggy inside of the lens. To top it all off, Nikon was not willing to refund when I contacted them - who can go into the field ...

Good compromise between size and performance for Hunting

I bought these for my son. He is a bit slow and he hunts with a pistol. He shot his buck with his 44Mag at 70 yards. Too bad he didn't think about using his new Binoculars to figure out where it ran off to. He likes his Nikons. He claims they are comfortable, easy to carry and performance - a good compromise of resolution, magnification, light gathering and size. I'm not sure exactly what he uses them for however.

I like Nikon optics, and these bino's are as great as the other Nikon products I've acquired. This makes at least the 3rd purchase I've made from Optics Planet, and all have gone flawlessly - the products arrive undamaged and in the time frame stated. I'm a little clutzy with computers, but the staff is very friendly and helpful on the phone, no extra cost. The price was also the best I could find.
Pros: Best product in price range, great price.

Great Glass

I was amazed when i looked through these, if i didnt see the writing on them i would of swore these were made by a brand 5 times the price. These are perfect for glassing open fields and woodlines all day. I would buy again in a heartbeat!

Nice binocular!

The former bought of Monarch1, recently purchased Monarch 3, respectively, Monarch better than of Monarch in the design, including the comfort.
The waterproof performance is superior than that of Monarch 1

Nikon 10x42

Eye cups screws came loose and cause malfunction in first month. I had to use a micro screw driver to make repair. Very disappointed! I have an old pair on bushnells that have lasted for years with no trouble and cost 30 dollars...

Excellent for bird watching

I bought these for my trip to the Belize jungle and they did not disappoint. My friend brought a more expensive pair and they were cheaply made compared to the Monarch 3's. The Monarch's were easy to handle with a very good lens that made the nature-watching an absolute pleasure. Highly recommended.
