Great for the price
I have 2 of these, one on my 270 and one on my .223. The 50 mm gives me good light gathering for coyote and the 3X9 is plenty for deer out to 500 yards. I would not shoot that far but this is plenty of scope for hunting.
GREAT DEAL!! Odering my 3rd
Pros: Clear optics, easy install and setup

nice scope if you live in the south
I bought this scope and another brand for 2 different rifles at the same time this scope continues to fog up on the outside when it's damp. I sent it back to nikon but it still fogs up.its nice and clear when it nice out. I replaced a old 20 year old Bushnell with this should have kept the Bushnell.
Nikon 3-9x50
Extremely clear at dusk and at dawn ... Mounted on Stevens 7mm-08 ... Very easy to sight in at 25yds / 100 yds / 200 yds / 300 yds and at 400 yds ... Very good product as you would expect from Nikon ... Definitely would recommend this scope to anyone ... You won't be disappointed ...

Great scope
I purchased and mounted one of these on my dad's .270 hunting rifle. He's getting up into some age and was having trouble seeing with his existing scope.
This one not only has held zero perfectly though repeated trips this hunting season, but he also can see much later into the evening now.
I personally tend to stick with 40mm objectives myself, but this works great and is indeed a much brighter image.

Nikon 3x9x50
I don't know if I would buy another one even though it's by far the nicest looking scope inside an out but I think I may have a bad one from the factory by that I mean the Nikon logo is upside down and I had a gunsmith install the sight on the weapon then bore sight the weapon and I could not get the rifle to shoot on paper at 100 yards I could hit wide left at 25 yard but the scope was bottomed out no more adjustments could be made

New scope for my Ruger American Rifle
Great scope, easy to adjust. Clear picture at 100 yards. Can not wait to take the it out Prairie dog shooting. Review several scopes before deciding on this one. Price was good and Optics planet had it delivered in just three days. Hard to beat their prices on top quality scopes.

One of the best!!!!!!$!!!!!!
I have several of this specific scopes for different hunting applications. With the 50mm it is exceptional bright and more than enough power for any medium (0-200 yd) range hunting. There are other similar scopes out there for less and much more $$$$$, but imo this one in quality, clearity/brightness and warranty/customer service cannot be surpassed!!!!
Pros:
- Stated above
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:
- hunting

Great Scope
Got this scope for my son's Ruger American in 270. one thing to be sure is to measure the length of the scope as it would not fit was to short. I turned the front base around and it worked. there wasn't much room to move the scope for eye relief. It was good for his eye as it was thanks to the 50 mm. Used Leopold medium rings and it was down as far as it could go . Had to sand down the scope cover next to the barrel for it to go on. So be careful to measure the length of scope and the distance between the bases.
Great scope, good price from Optic Planet. Son it happy with it.

One of the best optics for the money!
Bright clear glass, clear on full power (9×), no blur, no haze, no cloudiness, rugged optics, can take a bit of banging around and still hold true zero, quality construction, BBC reticle very useful and fairly accurately accommodates for most cartridges. This is my goal to scope, I will put nothing less than this rifle scope on any gun I own. I am currently using this workhorse on three of my rifles. Do yourself a favor, if you are unsure of which rifles scope to choose and are looking for a $200 - $250 scope just buy this one, you can not go wrong and will not regret it.

Best BANG for the buck
I have been using the Nikon scopes for several years, from 20 yards to 400 yards never a problem. the 50mm optic lets in a lot of light even during less than favorable conditions. now several of my hunting partners have decided to give them a try. I think we have a dozen at camp now.
Pros:
- clearness
- lighting
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:
- hunting
- target
- varmit shooting

Fastened well to DPMS .308
This optic mated well w/ my DPMS .308 and is a very accurate bench set-up out to at least 400 yds. Great glass. There are many like it but this one is mine. The scope and rifle teamed up to center punch a quarter, nickel, penny and a dime at 100 yds. once the breathing got timed right.

Outstanding rifle scope
What can I say - Clean, crisp, and clear optic that does not fog up in the rain and stays on target. I mounted this on my .45 cal muzzleloader to replace the POS that it came with. The 50mm objective gathers so much more light and provides me additional hunting time.
Pros:
- High quality affordable price
Cons:
- None
