Overall, I really like the Nikon 8x25 Prostaff. Compared to my ancient Nikon Travelite III 8x23 (which has also been a solid performer) the Prostaff has a much larger image and is very clear. I'm also impressed by its image in low light conditions, i.e. at twilight. It seems solidly constructed and has a smooth focus adjustment. My only complaint is that the diopter adjustment is stiff and difficult to operate. Part of the problem is that the body and eye cup prevent you from getting a good grip on the diopter adjustment ring. It's also a little heavier than my old binocular, but I'll get used...

This is an excellent set of binoculars. The size and weight are perfect for us. We are much more likely to grab these before heading out somewhere than a full-size set that are bigger weigh so much more. I even forget I have them around my neck when they're under my jacket. The image is bright and crisp.
Pros:
light and compact

These are great for the money, as sharp and bright as one has any right to expect. Nice and light but still relatively sturdy-feeling, with one exception: I'm not fond of the eye cups. They're made of a hard material which makes them less comfortable than they could be, and their rotation (in and out for glasses-wearers) feels flimsy. However, I like them very much for what I paid and recommend them.
