Most Helpful Positive Review Outstanding performance and value
Bought mine about four years ago for hunting and have been very pleased. They are a bit bulky and heavier than more streamlined roof prism design, but the trade off is super wide field of view, clarity and most importantly outstanding light transmission at dawn and dusk. Have had several buddies w/ MUCH more expensive glass remark that theirs can't compare to my $150 Nikons! Pros: Great light transmision in low light. Super wid field of view. Cons: A bit bulky for my hands- one handed focus (while holding rifle) is a bit tricky .

Excellent binoculars

Best binoculars I've had so far. Used mine for birdwatching around the house basically, never tested the waterproofing. The included case and strap are also of good quality. Unfortunately, my beloved binoculars was stolen, so I'll probably buy the exact model again.

  • rugged construction
  • excellent optics
Cons:
  • a bit bulky and heavy

  • Birdwatching

very nice optics for the money the quality is higher than I expected Great bins to keep in the car and not worry about theft due to the low price . The only negative is the lens caps ,.

Very nice quality nikon binnoculars for the price.Optics are very clear to look threw.Rugged and should last for many many years.Was surprised at the clarity and sharpness of these Nikon 8x40 Action Extreme Waterproof Binoculars 7238. These should hold up very well out in the woods.

Good quality at a very affordable price! My wife loves them for checking on the animals across our pasture!! I also use them when I go hunting. There are better binoculars available, but you'll pay a lot more for them!

This is the second pair I purchased (left the first pair in the forest). I use them primarily for hunting in the north-central mountains of Colorado. While there are some expansive views more likely I'll be in forest. During the hunting seasons the temperatures range from in the 60s to below zero. Weather can vary from bright sun to rain or snow and darkness comes quickly when the sunsets behind the mountains. The pair functions well under all the conditions I encounter.

great for bird watching

Easy to operate, light weight, good value and good optics. The kind of quality you would expect from Nikon. Great for bird watching or sporting events. I took these binoculars with me on a day hike and really enjoyed them. They allowed me to stand off at a good distance and still observe the wildlife without disturbing them.

Just bought this for my husbands birthday-so I took them out of the box to make sure everything OK and had to try them out-WOW..easy easy easy to focus-great distance viewing and very comfortable! Glad I purchased! Also, very fast service with Opticsplanet-thank you for your quick response time.
