Amazing scope! Tough, with excellent built quality. The turrets have great feel. The audible clicks are perfect, with just the right amount of resistance. Optical performance is on par the Nightforce and Leica scopes I've used. I wasn't sure how I was going to adjust to the BDC reticle and the 1.5x minimum magnification, but both have worked out great. After two years of use, I'd buy it again!
Pros:
- Build quality and optical performance greatly exceed the price.
Cons:
- Not as fast to the first shot as some scopes. I would be more happy if the reticule had marks to calculate hold under.

I have 4 Nikon AR scopes (M22, M223, M300, M308).This M223 point blank is replacing an eotech w/magnifier (sent back under their refund program). I always found myself using the magnifier which made the red dot flare and too large. The combo was also very heavy.I decided a point blank scope would be a better option. The Vortex is almost half the price but I'm not a fan of capped turrets. Having good experience with Nikon, I stuck with them. I've got a Nightforce on a Nemo 300 Win Mag where weight is not the primary consideration. Yes the glass is better than the Nikon's, but the price and weight considerations make the Nighforce not the best option.

I bought this scope to put on my ar-15 and I was looking for a good cqb/hunting scope but all the scopes that I had looked at in this class were ether real cheap or real expensive now I don't know about you but this is not a cheap price tag for me I work for a living but did won't a good scope and I think I got what I was looking for the aluminated orange dot really help to get on target in low light conditions the glass looks very good I've shot from 10 yds to a 100 yds so fare and it does the job can't wait for deer season and yes you can take deer with a 223.

Ordered and had within a week, Would like to thank Nicon for putting me in touch with OpticsPlanet. Had the scope mounted to my Savage model 10, 5.56, boresighted and with a little tweeking I'm ready. A dime group of 3 shots at 100 yrds and 2" group of 3 at 200 yrds, both shot in the prone with a vice. Clarity of this scope is awsome and the 30mm tube draw's ample light for near dark shots, once you find your range marks, it's on. Looking forward to some long range plinking after the hunting season, maybe even a coyote at a gut pile during the full moon.
