Nikon M-223 2.5-10x40 Laser IRT
I had the pleasure of using this scope on a .308 and .223 rifle and put almost 1000 rounds of ammo thru each rifle with great results. Laser Ranging was easy, quick and tracking from one target to the next made utilizing the BDC reticle a snap. This is going to be around for a long time.

Great scope with a garbage mount
The built-in laser range-finding feature is great. So is the built-in bullet drop. I also hear there are ready-to-use stats for ballistics on common standard loads. The big problem: It has come loose every single time I have taken it to the range (6 times now). I tried blue thread-lock, and it ...

READ THE MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS!!!
I mounted mine a while back and ACTUALLY read the direction with a a HOLY SMOKE, REALLY? moment.
This scope mounts with 50 inch pounds of torque, that is a TON of torque guys (and gals). I mount my "typical scope" at 13-15 in/# per specs.
50 in/# will break Chinese Allen heads, at least many of them.
As for the actual scope; the laser is 99.5% accurate on distance (I shot the distance with survey instruments to 429 yards, my LRT measure 430 yards). Good enough for me.
Clarity and eye box are great!!!

1st Day at the Range and it breaks in less than 20 rounds! STAY AWAY
Initially I was very excited to mount this scope on my RRA-15, the features of the product were awesome and the glass appeared to be amazing. So here I am 2 weeks later returning home after a very upsetting day at the range. About 20 rounds into my range therapy with my new M223 LRT I hear a "ping" and the reticle is bouncing up and down with every movement. I am a believer in Nikon products and I hope this occurrence was a rarity, however I will be returning the scope and not getting another. At the end of the day if I can't trust my rifle and optics they are useless to me and given the state of the world today potentially life changing.

Nikon rangefinder/ scope
Great scope! I really like the BDC retical. I love the built in rangefinder. Never had that option before. Havn't shot through it yet but as long as it is similar to it's M223 brothers im sure we will have a great working relationship come varmint season..
Pros: Great glass quality like all my other M223 scopes. Low profile
Cons: This scope has a maximum magnification of x10, wish it was x12 and a little bigger objective lens would be nice..

This is a great scope
I know this is intended to be an AR scope but I bought it for my Browning BLR .308 rifle. The included scope mount appears to come with 20 MOA already built-in which I'm sure is great for ARs. It was a bit too much for the BLR. I ended up buying a 20 MOA base for the BLR and installing it backwards for -20 MOA. The result is 0 MOA and a happy camper!
The optics are crisp and clear, the rangefinder is fast and seems to be accurate.
The more I use this scope the more I like it.
Pros: Built-in rangefinder
Cons: 20 MOA if you want it or not

Sold on Nikon M223 and Monarch
Mine came with a defective switch that Optics planet immediately returned for me - which is why I continue to buy from these guys. No hassle no questions. Scope does not have the same eye relief as my 3-12x42 or my 2-8 M223's. Also be aware that while the blackened area of the scope used to give you a readout does not cover your field of view it is a little large than anticipated. I guess my assumption was that you would not see the black until you depress the switch turning on the laser. The upper area about 1/5 of the glass is always black regardless of the range finder being on. Nikon makes a good scope I have 4 of them and this one was no different - the glass, clarity, brightness in the M223 price range is very hard to beat. The BDC reticule is nice, but if you intend to shot out past 300 yards I would have wished they offered this in the 3-12 or 4-16. The range finder goes to 600 yards, but the magnification in my opinion 2.5-10 is good in the 100-250 yard range. Granted my eyes may be getting a little older so I would have really appreciated the 12x power. The laser works better than other units I have bought, but does not work as good as some of my range finders. This may have been operator error or the faulty switch so I will not expound on the minor issues I noticed. The reason for the 3 on my expectations is because I maybe oversold myself - I wanted it to be as good or better than my 3-12x42 M223 while it was close it was not the same given they were in t...

nikon 2.5 x 10 irt
Being an avid coyote hunter, this scope is a perfect fit. There's no need to switch from a handheld rangefinder to your rifle, tipping off the coyote with your movement. Instead, you can remain nearly motionless, obtain the range and utilize the BDC for the appropriate distance and drop him.

Where is the included remote?
The features list a remote which is not included as far as I can tell. I do not see it mentioned in he manual. A tape switch for the range finder would have been nice so you do to have to fumble around the scope tube for the range button. Optics are crystal clear, rangefinder is very good, mount is sturdy. Overall a very nice scope, but the lack of the remote is frustrating
Pros: Clear optics, easy to use
Cons: No remote
