Most Helpful Positive Review Nikon Monarch 5 10x42 Binoculars
Discussed with representative before purchasing because I was looking for other makes to compare this against. Representative was very helpful and after I researched the comparative models he provided, I went with the Nikon. I am glad I did. I was very impressed with the whole purchasing experience, and will definitely purchase here again. Pros: Great quality, very clear to look through, very good service from Opticsplanet, good shipment Cons: None so far

Nikon Monarch 5 10x42

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from AZ, United States Written on October 12, 2013
Great quality product! This was the only binocular that had an eye relief long enough to use while wearing glasses. All other brands and models I tested in stores and what friends owned forced me to remove my glasses to see and then would not focus correctly due to not having my glasses on! My wife and I both love this model 7543 Monarch 5 and sometimes start to argue over who gets them for that day over our old binos. Guess we'll have to purchase a second pair.

Great Optic - Poor Customer Service from Nikon

by Legacy Reviewer, Written on March 14, 2013
The Binoculars are great, clear, good in low light and I do like the product. But I'm very very disappointed in my dealings with Nikon's customer service. The package did not include eye piece caps. It took Nikon 6 months to ship me a set and they 3mm larger than the eye piece, it does not fit and will not stay in place. Nikon acknowledge the misfit and this a direct quote from them "Unfortunately there is nothing further we can do in the matter"
Pros: Clear optics, great in low light, easy to handle

Great value for the $spent. Able to binos to spot elk without taking off my glasses. Twice the clarity over Bushnell.
Pros: Extremely fast shipping. Great clarity. Outstanding valve.
Cons: caps over eye pieces too loose...fall off.

Nikon Monarch 5

by Legacy Reviewer, from WA, United States Written on May 14, 2012
Check first if this binos are in stock. I first ordered black, which was out of stock, so I decided to go for Camo, (which is a truly horrible color). Lens-cover broke after one week of indoor-use (!) which is pretty amazing, This only seems to happen to Nikon Monarchs, even much cheeper brands are better. Optically, and that`s what really counts, they are brilliant however and I recommend them fully, but if I were to buy a new pair, I`d go for the Nikon Monarch 3
Pros: Good optics and good value for money
Cons: Lens covers are just as bad as on earlier Monarchs. Long delivery time and unpleasant surprise with import expenses.

Pros: Great size for both in the woods and on the fields
Cons: have not found any yet
