JUST A AVERAGE SHOOTER, ALBEE
Decided to get back into target shooting after 20 years of absents, eyes are not as good as use to be on open sights. I know Nikon products and they don't make junk. Mounted this red dot on my Buckmark 7 1/4" contour and first time out after 4 shots to zero, then ran the next 10 into a 3/4" group at 15 yds. The view is crystal clear with no tint as most other red dots have. For target shooting the 3 MOA works very well for me. I have another company's red dot ordered for my EDC and I'm seriously thinking cancelling and buying another NIKON!

Nikon warranty
Spur was great and got a great deal till I dropped it , fell right on scope and smashed the glass. Being only 2 months old I thought maybe Nikon might help me out , Wrong, Not covered. Well OK my mistake. Buy Burris or Vortex with no fault warranty Its worth the extra money

Nikon has made a Good System
We have been using TOP SHELF NAME BRANDS & have unexpectedly found this Nikon Spur to be a Great System for handgun, shotgun & offset for rifles.
You save a ton of $ & don't sacrifice much at all.
We dropped them, had mud, cleaners, etc... on the optic & it still held zero & didn't crack the glass. Good system. We run them offset on our rifles, top for Handguns & the hd up while mounted on 12 g shots.
On yhe Nikon SuperDot we run 36 yrd zeros on the spur we run 7 yrd zeros.

Lightweight and simple
This works great for those of us that have difficulty seeing iron sights these days. I like that it doesn’t add much weight and I can sight with both eyes open. It is simple to use. I just bought a second one on sale...
Pros:
- Simple, light, easy to use, sight with both eyes open.
Cons:
- Picanny rail only, results similiar to iron sights.

Nikon P-Tactical Red Dot
Easy to adjust, well built, several hundred rounds down range with my AR and all is well. There seem to be some negative comments on the mounting screen assembly however I had no issue utilizing a torque driver at 18 inch pounds. Another fine product from Nikon!
Pros:
- Clear dot, nice quality
Cons:
- None at this point
Best Used for:
- Rifle/pistol

Just what I needed.
Looking for an affordable red dot sight I found this unit, great optics, excellent dot size, waterproof. whith an adequate size for my Sig P365, just find the proper mount plate (wich is available) and that is. I am very happy with this sight, wich feels sturdy and very reliable.
Pros:
- Size, Optics, battery location
Cons:
- maybe the small side buttons will be difficult to operate wearing gloves

Excellent RDS
Granted this my is my first reflex sight I dont see how there could possibly be one made better unless it would be to make the brightness adjustments buttons larger. I use it as 45° offest to compliment a Nikon P 223 3-9x40 on an AR.
Pros:
- None
Cons:
- brightness buttons could be bigger

Nikon P-Tactical Spur
Very clean with a great sight picture. Flares a bit, but I have an astigmatism so I have to live with that. The down/off button barely work tho. I probably just got a bad one and I'm assuming I can warranty it.

First Red Dot on a Pistol. Love it!!
Purchased the Spur to mount on the Ruger MkIV 22/45 Lite. I am not disappointed. It works like a charm and I've found it much easier to aim using the Spur than the standard factory sights. Since I'm not a brand snob I did not see any reason to purchase a red dot that cost as much or more than the pistol itself. Battery cover on top opens without a problem using the tool provided. It closes just as easily. Quick minor adjustments to zero it in. If I'm in the market for another micro red dot, I'll buy another Spur.
Pros:
- Super easy to mount and sight in
Cons:
- None

Great clarity, ok on the brightness
Let me start by saying, overall, I'm VERY pleased with the performance of the Nikon Spur that I have installed on my G34 MOS. I've had it now for about a month now and have several thousand rounds with it. Form, fit, finsh and function are GREAT, the controls are easy to access, battery installation and removal are a breeze, comes with a great little multi tool for that and the zero adjustments, but, In my opinion, and for my older eyesight, if Nikon could increase the brightness level just a little bit more, this would be, one of, if not, the best red dot on the market today. The clarity is unmatched with absolutely "0" color variation, unlike ALL of the other manufacturers of red dot optics on the market today, that have some shade of tint to them. I shoot mostly outdoor pistol competitions, and I feel like it needs to be a touch brighter. That and the fact that it only come on a picatinny rail mount base plate is the reasons it would get a 4 star rating. (Nikon is supposedly coming out with other plates soon) In the mean time, contact the guys at www.chpws.com for a complete line of base plates for the Spur, and most other model red dots, to fit the Glock MOS)
Pros:
- Ease of use
- Clarity
- Functionality
Cons:
- Brightness level
- No other style base plates currently available
Best Used for:
- hunting
- Target shooting
- Personal Defense
