Midwest Industries AK Railed Scope Mount 6.75in. Rail MI-AK-SM (from Optics Planet). I emailed Nikon about this issue and their response was “Thank you for contacting Nikon. I would recommend consulting
with a gunsmith as you are working with Nikon mounts on a third party Rail system.”
Well plenty of companies make RDS’s and mounts that fit a “third party Rail system”, but Nikon seems to fall short here. Note: the “Aimpoint” style mounts in the box DO fit the above mentions rails – so there is that. Unfortunately, this RDS does not have attachment screw holes that match the true “Aimpoint” pattern so other risers can be used.
