Most Helpful Positive Review BLOWN AWAY !!!
I purchased the Nikon Rifleman 1000 after losing my Leica CRF 1600 Laser Rangefinder to a THEIF ! I found myself a little short on funds at the time, and at the same time, needed a replacement RangeFinder for a Preditor Hunt for the following day. Not having the $900 + for another Leica 1600, I op...

Most Helpful Negative Review Nikon Rifle Hunter 1000
I used this for an antelope hunt and could not get accurate range from any target past 500 yards. It wouldn't even rang a steel barn at 600 yards. Good thing I knew how to use my mildot for accurately ranging distance. Sent it back because it doesn't work as advertised. Pros: Easy to use Cons: Wont ...

Nikon RifleHunter 1000 Laser

by Dave, from CA, United States Written on February 17, 2015
Got my Nikon RifleHunter 1000 Laser Rangefinder last week. Have already been able to pickup objects at over 850 yards. Very pleased with it! Can't wait to take it out into the field to hunt with. Should be a great tool to set distance to a target and determine distances around me as a reference! Very easy to use, but has several more complicated options to choose from! This is my first and intend to use it for hunting and golfing!!

NIKON 1000 LASER

by Gary, Verified Owner from IL, United States Written on December 2, 2014
Excellent product. Works as described and is accurate and easy to use in the field. Takes a little practice to master the control functions and all of the features that are available. This is the only one
I have ever tried so I am not able to compare to other brands and models, but it appears to be all a
person would ever need for most deer hunting conditions.
Pros:
  • Good value for the money,
Cons:
  • None

Laser Range Finders

by Eric, from NV, United States Written on November 22, 2014
I had been doing my homework on laser range finders. You can pay a little more for similar products but why ? This does everything you need it to do. With amazing accuracy. I also paid just over twenty dollars "Less" from Optics Planet than anywhere else I could find it.
Best Used for:
  • hunting and target acquisition/distan

Nikon RifleHunter 1000

by Dave, from KY, United States Written on September 8, 2014
I ordered this from Optics Planet and it came right away, no issues. I checked its accuracy on a few know distances and it worked fine. It’s easy to use and gives metric or English read outs, yds or meters. Haven’t used the constant ranging feature but the spot reading function works as expected. I was able to get readings over 1,000yds, the read out is a little diff that far out. My only complaint is I wish it had a mounting point for a tripod, once you get over a few hundred yds you need a way to steady it to get accurate reading of your target point. So far no complaints and it seems to be a good choice for the price.

Nikon Rifle Hunter 1000 Rangefinder

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from NY, United States Written on August 11, 2013
I purchased this unit as a demo unit. I can not tell the difference from a brand new unit. Optics Planet even provided a brand new battery with the unit. I have not had a chance to use the unit a lot, but the little I have I am pleased with the Rangefinder.
Pros: Nice compact unit
Cons: I have not found any

Varmints beware...I got you now...!

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner Written on November 12, 2012
I bought and sent back other laser range finders, because they would not lock on varmint size critters. The 'True track technology' is the ticket. The only problem is holding the brackets on the critter when pushing the button to get the range, as it is easily moved when pushing the button. The eye-piece is easy to adjust and will give you a clear look at what you want to range.
Pros: Easy to use, gives clear and concise measurements.
Cons: It is very easy to move the optical brackets off the critter when pushing the button.
