I've bought three of these so far to hold flashlights on my bump helmets. They work OK, wish the dovetail was a little wider for a better fit on the cheap bump helmets I use.

Got To Have It
SUPER piece of equipment. I use it on my bump helmet to mount an IR illuminator. Absolutely solid mount with really easy to use "pull and rotate" system. I can adjust the illuminator for reading a map (yes, I am that old school,) to looking into the secondary tree cover in the heavily wooded terrain I normally move in, to looking straight ahead for open terrain movement. I love this mount, and I have two of them.
