I used this muzzle device in my 11.5” BCM upper with BCM 13.4” MLOK rail. Fits well with about an inch of the muzzle exposed beyond the rails. Light weight and diameter fits perfectly inside the rails.

Well, I give it 5 stars, but that’s contingent on the range tomorrow. I just installed it, and everything looks and feels as it should. That might not say a lot to you; for me, 90% of the things I get online are not true to their description ie. flimsy, cheaply made, won’t install. Obviously performance is the most important thing, but you can’t perform well if you’re not underprepared.

How do I remove the cone on my KX5 or KX3?

Our outdated cleaning instructions say to take the cone out to clean it. After thousands of rounds and years of R&D, we do not suggest or advise to taking it apart. The cleaning instructions have since been updated. We apologize for any confusion.

I purchased for a 10.5” barrel mainly for looks and because it says it pushes gas toward so after some time with studying how it works I ordered it and I will say it is an animal to put on correctly so don’t waste time with that washer it comes with shims it is and if u get lucky with the washer than your a bad mamma jamma and should get u a powerball ticket because I could not get this to thread correctly what so ever so shims it is and will have to be. Other than this it’s awesome looking having shot it yet though but when I do I’ll post an update on its performance rather than its looks!

I am running these on both my 7.5" pistol and 10.5" SBR. Works as advertised and has the tacti-cool factor with longer rails covering at least 2/3 of the KX5. Keeps blast down range. Used crush washer to align the pig.

My 7.5" AR Pistol was very unpleasant to shoot when using the standard A2 flash hider it came with. All the force and concussion would come back in my face, rattle the crowns in my mouth, and make my teeth hurt, seriously. I was about to convert my pistol to an AR-15 rifle, with a 16" barrel, but decided to give the Noveske KX5 a whirl before doing so. Well, I'm really glad I did because it saved me from switching out my AR Pistol to a rifle. There was virtually no blast in my face with the KX5, and the flash was tamed quite a bit too, which made it much more pleasant to shoot, and easier to put rounds on target. Even the sound was tamped down a bit, but it's still pretty loud, which is to be expected with such a short barrel. All the energy is pushed downrange now and my teeth don't hurt anymore. Yeah! So thank you Noveske for making these sweet suppressors. My son has a KX-3 on his AR Pistol, and loves it just the same.

One bit of advice though for those planning to buy a KX5 (or KX3): BEFORE you use it, take it apart and put "Loctite LB N-5000, Nickel-Based, Anti-Seize lubricant" on the threads on the inside of the Flash Suppressor, around the top of the cone. It'll make 10 times easier to take apart and clean after putting several hundred rounds through it at the range! If you do it after you put a bunch of rounds through it, all the carbon build up from the rounds you shoot will seize up those threads and make it extremely difficult to take apart. And trust me...

Using on a 6.5" 223 pistol and it sounds amazing and shoots about a 2 foot flame out the end! That and it looks good! The only thing I would have a complaint about was the 10 days to took to get to my door. But it's well worth the wait!

I love the Noveske Flash Suppressors. When my wife and I are at the range you can immediately hear and see the difference these things make. They push the sound and the muzzle flash forward down range and not into the lanes next to you. I don't know if its an ego thing at the range to have the loudest rifle or have the biggest muzzle flash but I think its rude to try and flash burn the people in the next lane over. These things make a big difference. My wife and I have 3 different models of these on our rifles.

The smaller diameter of this KX5 over the KX3 is noticeable and will fit inside many hand guards where the KX3 will not. The finish of this KX5 is much nicer also. This does not come with instructions on disassembly (for cleaning) and my understanding is the KX5 no longer comes with those instructions as Novaske now recommends to not take it apart. I think this probably comes from all the negative reviews about the parts seizing up and not being able to come apart. Probably OK to just run it like the company says but after a trip to the range (using a video) I attempted to take mine apart and did with no problem. I removed a star from my review based on this possible problem.

Installation is a snap as there is not really any timing involved other than you would want you logos to line up nicely, even though this would have no effect on the operation. The device comes with a crush washer so you are ready for install right out of the box. Spikes Barking Spider comes with no instructions and NO CRUSH WASHER OF SHIMS! They both operate about the same but for leaving out needed parts, I put the pig over the spider.

With just the flash hider my pistol came with it was not fun to shoot and a typical break that mitigates recoil would have been even worse with even more noise and concussion. Had the KX3 and wanted something more compact and the 5 was the right choice with the same great results. I spent some time reviewing them and need a brake that would dint under my hand rail and after lengthy research this was the one. I wanted the same great product as my 3 but something that would fit. Glad I made the choice of switching. I purchase a lot from optics planet and they always have the best price and awesome shipping speed and customer service so I always recommend them.
