Great for the 308
Probably not necessary for the 5.56, but for the 308 it is a must have. Works great with my DPMS LR308, the pull is much easier and smoother. Appears well built, much stronger roll pins than factory charging handle.
THE BEST charging handle made…period.
The guys that build our own guns want to save where we can. It can get expensive but if this is a rifle you are choosing to defend your life with, do not buy any other charging handle. The charging handle is one of the mechanisms that loads the weapon to be fired. Malfunctions can cost you your life. The Raptor is built incredibly strong and far surpassed military standards. I have bought the Raptor “clones”, and broke several of them over time. Buy authentic Raptor-your life may depend on it one day!

Always a good upgrade
I've been using the Raptor on just about every rifle I own for some time now. It is definitely not cheap for a charging handle, but in my opinion it is the best option. I've used BCM charging handles extensively, but I just keep coming back to the Raptor.
