Most Helpful Positive Review Surprised by the good quality
I got this bag because it was a good price and I wanted to check out the quality of the OPMOD products. It's been my experience that a number of "house brand" products are quite inferior to their name brand counterparts. That's not the case here. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality. This bag is very modular. A couple of the pouches can be unzipped and carried separately or zipped onto other OPMOD products. If I had a few OPMOD bags, I might find this feature useful. For me, this feature just adds to the weight and takes away from the space. My purpose for this bag was more of an overnigh...

Excellent briefcase. Well made this briefcase case has an assortment of compartments that allow you to bring everything when you travel when traveling by air the airlines allow you a carry on and a briefcase. You can pack everything you need in this case. It stands up very well and has a good set of handles as well as a comfortable shoulder strap. There is side straps that let you Carry this on extended luggage handle. I carry this everywhere and use it everyday for work. I love it

Great Product

by Dave, Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on July 14, 2016
Just what I was looking for in a brief case. It's well made. Sturdy. When mine arrived it had some stitching that was coming undone on the pad on the strap. It's disappointing, but on a non-critical part of the bag and all other stitching was just fine. The material is tough enough and the zippers seem good. The laptop case easily fits my 15" macbook pro and files, note pads, etc. The main compartment is large enough to carry a lot of files and has smaller compartments for carrying small items along with spaces for pens/pencils. The pouches are all very functional. The two smaller ones are pretty small, but the lower one (which is permanently attached to the bag) holds my power cord no problem. The top one is fine for small items - again, nothing too big, but usable for day to day stuff. The tablet compartment is great if you carry a tablet on a daily basis, but I don't. That's the one compartment I zipped off, exposed the molle underneath and replaced with my own pouch. That's really what makes this bag great. If you don't like one of the attached pouches, just take it off and attach one you do like. I liked them all and even the tablet one is fine, but if you don't carry a tablet that one isn't much good for anything else. I would definitely recommend this item to someone who's looking for something that appears less "tactical" but provides you with the utility of a tactical bag.

This bag is lightweight and functional. The inner pocket is large and the convince of the other pockets is great. With the ability to carry an iPad, a computer, all chargers needed, and have four pockets to spare is great. I highly recommend this product.

Impressed!

by savvy hayseed, from CA, United States Written on January 25, 2016
Item appears more substantial than I thought it would; lots of heavy-duty stitching, zippers, pockets, materials etc. comfortable to walk with loaded full; looks like they took pains to make it useful & rugged.

Got this bag for Christmas and love it. It has a ton of room and is very versitle. I would have given it 5 stArs but have not had it long enough. I like the fact that it is 4 bags in one. Each pocket has plenty of room for all sorts of gear.

Nice brief case bag

by bob, from WY, United States Written on August 11, 2015
Overall the bag seems pretty nice and rugged. I was alarmed on when I first opened the box and was checking out all of the compartments. The pull tab on one of the zippers pulled right off. So far the bag has met my needs
Pros:
  • Price, simple, effective
Cons:
  • construction

Good bag at a great price!

by Barry, Verified Owner from PA, United States Written on August 29, 2014
I love the OPMOD Brief Case! It has plenty of pockets and internal organizers so I can satisfy my OCD and keep my EDC gear organized! The only thing I don't like are the attach points on the bag for the shoulder strap. They seem to be cheap metal D rings fixed to a thin piece of webbing that is sewed to the bag. I can see these breaking after some time. But that is where the OPMOD warranty will come in handy! Everything else about the bag is heavy duty! The material it is made from seems thick and durable. Overall it is a fantastic piece of gear and a great value! I would have given 5 stars if the shoulder strap setup was better.
Pros:
  • Made from heavy material
  • Plenty of room for EDC items
  • Configurable pouches plus MOLLE and lashing points
  • Easy access to concealed pistol
Cons:
  • Not impressed with shoulder strap attach points
  • I wish it had MOLLE on the outside of the pouches
  • Velcro field would have been a nice touch
Best Used for:
  • Everyday carry

A brief case that doubles as a medium sized range bag

by ehartwig1, Verified Owner from NE, United States Written on July 30, 2014
I wanted something in the mid sized range. I have multiple range bags so I thought I would try something different. This is listed as a modular briefcase and it would be great for that. The compartments will hold laptops, tablets, pens, paper and anything else you need, and protect everything you carry very well. I use is as a midsized range bag. 2 pistols fit great, and will hold more. The modular design allows you to customize it. It holds everything I need (if not going extremely heavy to the range) magazines, ammo, tools, etc. Is easier to carry than a normal range bag, because it is thinner, taller, not a box. Well worth the money.
