Amazing Trigger Awesome Company
I bought this trigger several months ago and took my time (a couple of months) before I installed it. Installation was straight forward, simple and with no hiccups. The initial feel was great, but I took my time (a couple more months) before taking it to the range and really testing it out. Aft...

Doesn't fit Aero Precision
20 seconds or 2 days of modes to trigger cassette!!
AKA U Tube install of RA 240 gen 2.
Gave up, will order a Timney as soon as I quit drinking.
Would have been nice to know what this RA 240 gen 2 would fit!
Maybe I'll try it in another lower, before it becomes Fish Bait!
really nice single stage trigger
I have used RA triggers before, so my expectations for this one were high and there was no disappointment here. I installed this trigger on an AR 15 6mm ARC build, and it has functioned perfectly. Install is a breeze. The trigger has a clean break and operates as expected. The Optics planet price for this trigger was great! Buy with confidence, you won't regret it.
Pros:
- ergonomic
- Quality
- Price and install ease
Cons:
- the anti-walk screws could have had pre-applied blue locktight
Best Used for:
- any AR platform rifle

Rise trigger
Simple to install and repeatable performance. Every bit of what I’ve come to expect from Rise.

Good Upgrade
I have this in a 10.5 AR that I run pretty hard and I have had no issues with the trigger. Good upgrade over a mil spec trigger and a decent price. Clean break and solid reset.

Good for Price
Trigger feels adequate, not the best but an upgrade over mil spec. The hex shape is a bit strange and I am not a huge fan but it works. For the price I think it is worth it but I think a normal curved Rise trigger at the same price would be a better option.

great trigger!
Very crisp, little to no creep before break. Feels amazing. Currently running it in a aero x15 lower and it rocks!! Very short and crisp reset. It’s better than my half of my more expensive triggers for drop in. Nice looking hammer and springs. Very impressive for the price I’m telling you!

RA -240 Gen 2 trigger
I have bought three of them in the last couple of years the first two have thousands of rounds on them still running like clockwork no travel crisp break short reset couldn’t ask for a better trigger for the money
Would recommend: Yes
Excellent Drop-in
This is probably my 6th or 7th Rise Armament trigger, and my second of the RA-240. The 240 is certainly my favorite of all that I have!! It is crisp, and it is smooth, and it feels great with every squeeze. I hunt with all my rifles and I like a light trigger pull - this trigger is perfect!

Best bang for your buck
This is my third RA trigger you can’t beat them crisp clean break very short reset spot on 3 1/2 pound pull and have thousands around through them

Not safe to use
I was very excited about this trigger, interesting design and the color matched my build, but it is not safe. The tail end of the trigger assembly is not long enough to make contact with the safety selector, thus never being able to put on safe. Trigger will pull and fire while on safe. I just purchased June 2025, and have tried it with several different safety selectors and it will not stay on safe. This is lawsuit waiting to happen for Optics and Rise. I was active duty military over 10 years and have been building ARs for 20 years, this is not my first rodeo. So a waste of money all in all. The fitting is overly tight, it’s wider than all my other drop in triggers, and the threads inside the anti walk pins are all jacked up. No quality control it seems, tore a screw on the anti walks so I put them aside and used an extra set I had- zero problem. I’d return for a refund but I’m sure optics wouldn’t refund me over 1 screw being scratched, so I’m at a loss. Not sure what to do with it now but throw in my miscellaneous pile of junk purchases. I put my old trigger back in, and no problems. I’ve been at this for 2 days, testing on 13 different ARs I got and it will fire on safe every time. Why was the safety not improved, or tested? I like standard triggers, though it takes a minute or two longer than just dropping one in, but I have several brands of drop ins, including two from Rise and I have never had this issue. I’m a safety first guy, as all should be with firearms, and th...

Great trigger for the money
I’ve purchased several of these on sale. They are a super solid trigger. Right now I have 4 of them on different AR15 and AR10’s. The pull weight on them fluctuates between 3.0-4.5 lbs but each trigger is pretty consistent with very little creep. No failures to this point and been using through 3 range trip and 1500+ rounds.
Pros:
- nice looking, sturdy, easy installation, price
Cons:
- pull weight is a little higher than advertise
