Nice Chassis, it is a bit heavy but works well on my Ruger 300 blackout

Chassis locks up tight on the action. The rifle now shoots better than I do. The fit and finish are flawless. Can't wait for deer season.

I had a standard Savage Axis .308 that was...ok. I put it on this chassis, changed the scope to a Vortex Crossfire and changed the trigger to a Timney trigger and now I have an excellent long-range rifle. I highly recommend.

I really like the stock I bought but I'm waiting for my Bergara barreled action. You want a review for a Howa chassis system, how do I answer that? Is AI taking over? I do like dealing with opticsplanet though.

I recently upgraded my Howa 1500 6.5 Creedmoor with the grey MDT Oryx chassis, and I absolutely love it. The build quality is outstanding — extremely solid and well-finished, with a perfect balance of weight and rigidity. Installation was straightforward, and the fitment to my action was flawless with no modifications needed. Ergonomically, the chassis is a huge step up from my factory stock, with a much more comfortable shooting position and better control. It really transformed the feel and performance of my rifle. Whether you're building a precision rig or just looking for a major upgrade, the MDT Oryx is an awesome choice that punches well above its price point.
Best Used for:
- long range/precion shooting and hunting

Excellent product, well built, comfortable to use, dropping the existing receiver and barrel in took about 3 minutes. Added bonus is it makes my rifle look much more attractive than before. Highly recommend.

Good blend of hunting and competition in this stock. Well built and good adjustability. Important note that the forend is not completely flat. If you but an Arca rail to attach buy a four inches or less so it will lay flat
Cons:
- Forend not completely flat

I purchased the Oryx chassis for the Ruger 1022 had problems getting the receiver down and all the way to the rear . But with the drimble tool, small files and sandpaper and after I removed the bolt on grip holder to do all the work inside of it fits great .Took it to the range best 1022 Ruger chassis I’ve ever had the pleasure of using . Note i have the old style metal trigger group.

A lot of what kept me from buying it, at first, is some of the little mods I’ve been able to do. I hated the grip it came with, so I tried an Ergo grip that I disliked more than the one it came with. I realized that I have grips on my AR’s that are perfect for my hand. So why not go the same route with the Oryx?
the one that works best for me, is this BCMGUNFIGHTER mod 0 grip. If you haven’t tried it, do yourself a favor.
second item, is a JKL Bagrider. It works and looks like it was always part of the chassis, IMHO.
Third item(s) are the comb adjustment knobs. They should’ve come with this stock. It’s like MDT got to the rear of this chassis, and said whoa! Whoa! You’re making our other chassis look bad! Leave that sh!t off!
The last thing that MDT could’ve done, to make this thing perfect, but chose to sabotage themselves, is an adjustable rear pad. Yes, they make an add-on that will allow the pad to move vertically, but whyyyy?
And finally, I have a Kidd 2 stage trigger. The chassis was too narrow where the trigger guard beds into the stock. I had to dremel it wider to get it to fit. No biggie, a little sanding and Aluma-black, and it’s not detectable. Just be aware that you’ll have to do a little work, to get it to fit your Kidd trigge
