Great magwell, ignore bad review
Installed on a gen 3 Glock 19: has a perfect fit, allows for better purchase/grip of the firearm, makes it easier to do tactical reloads, and looks sweet on my all FDE build.
I originally was experiencing the issue that the 1-star reviewer was talking about (screw wouldn't screw-down to handle, mak...

Overwatch Precision Glock 19 Gen 3 Magwell
The set screw can be seen from the exterior of the back strap, I don't know why they OP doesn't use a flush fit screw. I returned my sample after Installing it and find out I could not properly seat all of my Glock 19 OEM magazines. I found it very strange, some magazines seated properly and others...

22102 Nice piece, NOT FOR OE 10rd mags
This review is for a gen 3 G19. OE 10rd mag does not consistently seat, Overwatch tech support confirmed and suggested Magpul 10rd may work better. Otherwise, nice piece. Doesn't add much more purchase for pinky finger w/ larger hands, but a little more is better than nothing more.

magwell for g19
Fits well, looks good, bad set screw design. The screw will not tighten in to be flush on the grip

set screw sucks
I looks good, fits well, but the grip screw does not full seat. It looks great after i replaced the screw.

Nice Magwell
Has a small footprint, perfect for conceal carry. Easy to install once you overcome one particular issue (read further). Nice comfortable feel and magazine slides right in like butter. The reason for the four stars and not five is due to the short screw that came with the magwell. The M4x8mm retaining cap screw was too short for my Glock 19 Gen 3...would not even catch onto the magwell threads. I was able to go to my local Ace Hardware and purchase a headless grub screw (no cap). This actually worked out better as the new screw now sits within the back grip's screw hole (flush or hidden) vs. having a screw cap that would sit on top of the back grip's surface (not good for your hand). The ideal screw size would be either M4x0.7x12MM or M4x0.7x14MM. It may seem like the screw could come loose, but nothing some blue thread locker can't solve.
Pros:
- Lightweight
- easy installation
- Small footprint
Cons:
- Short retaining screw
Best Used for:
- Pistol grip
- Faster Reloading

Overwatch precision magwell
I bought this magwell for my glock 19 and it is phenomenal. I have a couple of magwells from other manufacturers and they aren't nearly as good as the overwatch magwell. The quality is far superior to every other magwell on the market.

Quality product, difficult install
I purchased this Overwatch Precision Magwell for my G23 (Gen 3) The product is well built and sturdy but I had a difficult time installing it.
Previously, I had purchased and installed a magwell of a different make for my G43X and the installation was much easier. The 43X magwell has two pieces. One that installs into the void in the bottom of the grip that acted as a anchor for the magwell. The actual magwell had an allen head screw that went through the bottom rear of the magwell and into the anchor, which holds it in place very well.
This Overwatch Magwell however is one piece and relies on a torx head screw going through the hole in the bottom of the rear grip of the pistol and threading into the magwell itself. Like most people I know, I have Talon adhesive grips on my pistol. The adhesive grip is not very thick but it is enough that you will need to cut out and remove any part of it that the magwell touches. The screw was barely long enough to reach through the grip and into the magwell threads.
The only instructions that were provided with this product said it should be"...installed by a certified armorer..." which is not very practical for most folks just trying to install a magwell with one screw. They also include a cheap little torx driver so they must know that the end user is likely to install it themselves.
Initially, before I cut out the adhesive grip I could only manage to get one or two threads to purchase. This was not a solid attachment and the magw...

Gen 3 overwatch precision mag well for Glock 19
Doesn’t work! Magazines won’t lock in place! Mag well insert seems too thick. Tried with stock mags and aftermarket. Will be returning this item and look elsewhere. Item looks good and finish is nice, came with screw and bit but bit was hidden in the insert so didn’t see it at first.
Pros:
- None
Cons:
- Does not work as stated
Would recommend: No
Good Product
Had an issue when installing. The back strap did not line up up properly. I understand this is a Glock issue. We had to ream the hole to make it work. There was a problem it attaching the item but it was a misunderstanding on my part as time how it fit. A quick call to customer service and they diagnosed my issue quickly and it resolved my problem. Good service. It now attached properly, looks good, and appears to provide the functionality for which I was looking.
Pros:
- Looks good and appears to do the required function
Cons:
- Instruction could have been a bit clearer.
Would recommend: Yes
