Pachmayr compac grips
I searched the internet to find any larger replacement grips for my Rossi .38 Special. The stock wooden grips are pretty but not functional for firing more then one shot simultaneously with any accuracy. Every website I went to that claimed to have the Pachmayr grips to fit my Rossi, did not have them in stock. The ONLY place that did was Opticsplanet.com. I ordered them and they were shipped that day and I received them 3 or 4 days later. I'm planing to replace the smaller stock rubber grips on my Taurus .38 Special now
PS. When I just rated this product here, there is a rating scale but ...

pachmayr compact grips revolver
Bought for Rossi M68 5 shot revolver, fit perfectly, great feel, and looks good on revolver too. Huge upgrade over tiny stock wooden grips. I have used pachmayr on several revolvers over the years, always improves shooting experience, both in control and accuracy, not to mention absorbs recoil too.

Good to excellent
I have these on two guns - Ruger SP101 and S&W J Frame.
The SP101 model is about 1/4" longer than the stock grip, but quite a bit fatter and more comfortable - has no join, just slops over the Ruger metal stub that protrudes from the frame. Looks a lot different to other Compac model grips in the Pachmayr lineup. It also fills in the gap behind the trigger guard so that your middle finger does not get beat up by the rear of the trigger guard due to recoil. Also gives great grip with wet or sweaty hands.
S&W J Frame model looks large on the gun. Very comfortable because it puts rubber over the backstrap.. If you can tolerate a hard metal backstrap in your hand during recoil and would like something more compact try the Pachmayr Compac Pro model.

Excellent Product
Excellent Pachmayr quality of design and materials. The rubber used by Pachmayr feels so much better than the other brands. These grips are very 'gripy' even when wet. Oil and cleaning solvents wipe off easily. Fit well, conceal well, grip well, and ergonomic. Can't go wrong !
Pros:
- ergonomic
- Good material
- Very grippy
Cons:
- Pricey
- sometimes need a little custom fitting
Best Used for:
- concealed carry

S&W M36 review
Replacing the original wood grip made this into an entirely new revolver. Only issue is a gap in the fit of the grips;Ikept them anyway rather than the hassle of returning them. The gap didn't impair the functionality of the revolver.
Pros:
- rubber grip
Cons:
- gap in fitment of grip.

Looking for better grips for handgun
The grip fills my hand and gives me better control of my firearm. goes in and out of holster or pants pocket without catching on anything .this is a great product and I would buy it again and recommend to my friends.

Works great
Though this grip does not cover the back of the trigger guard as much as I thought it would, it does cover enough and changes the grip on the stock so that the painful whack my finger gets when shooting 357's doesn't happen anymore. My SP101 is a pleasure to shoot now. Grip is a touch wider than the stock grips and about the same amount of softness in the rubber. Only thing I'd like change is a place to put the disassembly pin that's stored in the stock grips.
Really like them.

pachmayr compact grips for charter arms
My wife and daughter love the look and feel of the grips over the orginal ones. There were no issues changing the grips. It took about 2 minutes to change the grips on their charter arms .22 and .38 sp.

Disappointed on N frame
I purchased the compac for my N frame S&W based upon how well a previous pair felt on a snubbie K frame. This one lacked neither the fit, firmness, or added control of the K frame. I believe it maybe slightly short? I need up putting my Wood grips back on....better control and balance, weird?

Size good comfort not so much
Its a nice sized grip for the summer being compact and all but could use a couple of finger grooves for comfort when firing.
Pros: small
Cons: comofort when firing, might need finger grooves
