Best at sucking up recoil in any revolver. - Pachmayr Diamond Pro Series Grip

WeeHooker's Review of Pachmayr Diamond Pro Series Grip
I've owned and shot dozens of revolvers in my time. What I've found is that hard material grips ( wood, G10, stag, plastic, etc)look and fit best but give the most felt recoil out of any given gun. Next up are the rubber offerings like the Hogue Monogrip and traditional Pachmayr Gripper/Presentation. These grips fit good and absorb recoil better ( but just don't look as exotic materials). How much recoil is absorbed by each really depends on overall size and (particularly) if they cover the backstrap of the revolver. Enter these new Diamond Pro series grips. These look more finished than the old style Pachmayrs ( and on par with Hogue Monogrip) and are made from a softer/gummier compound which completely covers the grip with extra material. They also tend to be a bit fatter in girth /hand filling. Fit on these is good but not precise ( largely due to the flexibility that is built in. ) there can be slight gaps around the top edge. Bottom line is that when I want a revolver to have the absolute minimum recoil, I now go with these diamond pro. I have 6 sets now for a variety of SW and Ruger revolvers.
Pros:
Price
REALLY absorbes recoil
Cons:
Fit isn't perfect on all models
Boring basic black rubber
Best Used for:
any use where recoil is not desired
Would Recommend:
Yes
