This grip is a good ergonomic design for those with large + sized hands. It covers the steel backstrap to soften recoil on those heavy loads. It does make the grip longer back to front and longer top to bottom, but not by much. I think these are made in China now, and they have some excess rubber at the edges that you will need to trim off - reason for the one star reduction.
Pros:
- Strong
- absorb recoil
- good for large hands
Cons:
- quality not what it used to be
Best Used for:
- Heavy loads
- Recoil sensitive shooters

It is a nice grip for reducing recoil. The only problem i have is that it is a "clamshell" type grip, where the front of the grip is the open side. When i squeeze the grip, I notice that it shifts at the split line and this bothers me. I did try applying superglue at the front split line, but i am not sure how long this will last.

The grips that I received were good grips. The problem is that they are not the same ones as those that are pictured. I wanted the pictured grips because they would keep the Blackhawk Hunter from flipping up as much. Unfortunately they are not the ones that I received. I have seen other reviews from different sites that have had the same problem. It looks like a lot of sellers are showing the wrong picture for the grips that they are selling.

I purchesed these Grips as a recomondation from anopther shooter.
Originally I had the Wood Grips and was having a problem with the Spent Cases Hanging up on the Wood Grip when ejected
Still have the Same problem so I think I will have to modify the Pachmaryr Grips. Other than that they are very comfortable and give a very positive grip
Pros: Feel Great
Cons: Poor Fit

The fit is no longer like the old Pachmyars. Not snug at all. Gun is loose in grip.

I don't know why I waited so long to get theses grips. My shooting accuracy has improved and no more wringing in my hand from a day at the range.
Pros: Great Feel, Easy to Attach, High Quality

I put these grips on my S&W 629 .44 magnum. These are a MUST have. Makes shooting the .44 mag fun! No sting like before with wood grips.
Pros: Fit and recoil reduction is awesome!

directions said need to trim? grips had gaps, poorly molded, bad fit under trigger, would not recommend. I returned grips and bought Hogue grips in the same style as Pachmeyer Quality was superior over Pachmeyer Too bad I had other Pachmeyer's that were fine not this one.
Pros: soft
Cons: poor fit on Redhawk

Really reduces felt recoil over factory grips on my S&W 44 mags. Great price and free shipping puts Optics Planet over the top. Thanks.
