This is my second Pachmayer grip for S&W revolvers. One a round butt the most recent square. The fit is very good. Perfect? Not a reasonable expectation for all it has to fit, but very good. Optic planet ordering and shipping is tight, very good. The grip takes up that silly space behind the trigger of a typical Smith. I have medium hands but feel it would fit small to large fine. The texture is “grippy” I’m good with it. Yes! I put rounds down range with it installed, approx 100. Wish I had more. Shooting range .38’s, but would not hesitate to find value in having this on a K or N frame in .357 Mag, shoot all day. Classic logo both sides. Details, nice touch. I am so happy. Don’t let 4 stars detract. I rarely give 5 for anything. The grips would need to cook my breakfast.

I have these grips on four revolvers. Two are S&W (34, 586) another Colt (Python) and last a Ruger Super Blackhawk. All four exhibited an uncomfortable "seam/rib" when assembled on all four handguns. I used a Dremel on the seams starting with a round fine stone and finished with a soft circular "brush". There is some change in the color but the surface is smooth and the increased comfort is much appreciated. .357 in the Colt and S&W 586 increased irritation with the seams and is noticeable in .38 Special as well. The .44 needs no comment. The 34 is a .22 RF of course and it got the "treatment" anyhows. The improvement in all four (yes even the 34) is well worth the minimal effort. I now give them 4.5 stars.
Cons:
- Certainly not the fanciest and do need the "treatment" described.
Best Used for:
- Plinking, defense, zombie blasting.

Far more comfortable than the original wood grips on my S&W 586. However.... Did not like the open slot at the bottom. The same grip on my Python does not have this. Fit to the frame was pretty good but would be willing to pay a bit more for a nicer fit to my hand without the ridges where the grips join. A careful "adjustment" with an Xacto knife and a Dremel helps. Both the S&W and the Python feel much better for me than the original wood grips. The cost is minimal and the results are well worth it but "could be better".

Optics Planet is great, best price and package arrived early with no problems. Put this grip on my S&W Model 13 k frame. Pachmayr makes very good pistol grips, easy to install and allows for good control of the weapon. Especially when firing .357 mags.
Pros: well made, feels great
Cons: none

Good product several of my guns have Pachmayr grips.
Pros: Comfortable for a medium sized hand
Cons: Installation not difficult but need to read directions fow S&W guns so you remove the pin in the grips, if it's there.
