After a year trying to replace the original grips, and returning couple of them, I finally got yours. Will be able to shoot while having a better grip on the revolver. Was looking for wood, but rubber will do for now. Couple of "bumps" along the seams, nothing that will prevent function, just cosmetic.

I've used Pachmayr grips for decades without a problem. I ordered this grip and the first set that was delivered had a 1/4" warp on the front seam, you could fit a pencil eraser between the two closed halves. It should have never left the factory like this. Optics Planet promptly replaced them, but the second set "wobbles" enough when tightened that I will have to add shims it tome them work. Very disappointing, fit and finish used to be perfect. Five stars for Optics Planet, two for the grip (I'm being generous).

Pachmayr grips used to be works of art, but now they are made in China (I think). In the old days you could guarantee fine workmanship and good fit. Design is still the same, but now they come with a lot of excess rubber (I shaved mine off with a disposable razor) and the two halves don't fit together too well. If you don't mind the gaps and slight misalignment then these are still great grips. The tapered shape of these Presentation grips means they are suitable for all hand sizes.
Pros:
- Good design
- good grip
- Good shape for many hand sizes
- Good recoil absorbing properties
Cons:
- Not made as well as they once were
- You'll spend time triming

Purchased my 44 mag at a gun show, without grips. I tried a hogue grip but the steel rear shank was exsposed, when shot the rubber hogue grips would compress and make the steel larger in the hand, needless to say with hot 44 rounds they did not work. Buddy told me to buy some Pachmayr grips. The Pachmayr grips fit way better, cover the rear part of the frame and look very good on her. Goes very well with stainless. Now the old guy can shoot the 44 and not get stung, they do take the sting out.

This grip does not fit Ruger Super Blackhawk with round trigger guard. Pachmayr does not make a grip that fits round trigger guard. Please make sure it fits your pistol, otherwise you will have to pay to ship it back, and OpticsPlanet will deduct their shipping costs from your refund! My recommendation is to buy it locally.

Cons: Doesn't fit
