Tan Pelican 1170
The case is a convenient size to be used as a pistol case or for other smaller valuables. The latches engage solidly and as always, there is the o-ring that keeps these cares watertight.
I own a couple of these 1170 cases. In all, I own about 12 Pelican cases ranging from a couple small iPhone size cases to 6+ suitcase size cases. You can always buy cheaper cases, but when it comes to protecting the valuables you travel with around the world, just spend the money and know you'll be protected with a Pelican. A small price to pay to protect a couple suppressors.

pelican 1170
Box is great, fits my p365 macro and two magazines. Foam was easy to pluck. Added to locks and ready for TSA.

My third case
Pelican watertight case - enough said. Fits my 1911 perfect. I have a government model with a 5" barrel. Not necessarily a fan of the pluck-n-pull foam, but the case construction and integrity is great!

Rock solid
I've always been able to count on pelican cases both large and small. Never had any issues. Waterproof and durable... probably just what you need. Prices are good at Optics planet too. Will be buying them again as needed.

Pelican is one of the best ( if not the best) water tight case on the market. It is the safest way to store or transport anything except for fire. The only draw back is the price but remember "you get what you pay for". If you want to fly any where to go on a hunting trip with a high value rifle and optics I would highly recommend Pelican. Hand guns, rifles, shotguns, optics, camera equipment, electronics, you name it, Pelican has a case for it.

Pelican 1170
I bought this product based on the experience that I have had with Pelican's gear through the military. We are hard on our gear, and the Pelican boxes have never let us down;nothing has ever gotten wet or damaged when stored in Pelican cases. This 1170 is no exception. I bought the 1170 to store my FNH 9mm compact pistol. This little box holds the pistol, three mags, and four loose boxes of ammo if you spread the ammo out in the bottom of the case, under the foam. I also test fit a Beretta 92FS and a Ruger P94; this little box will accommodate each full-size pistol and two mags. Everything fits snug, and the quality of the box is exactly what I expected. You will need a lock with a 1/4" shackle, anything else will be too large to fit through the holes. If you are looking for a great box to store your pistols, or any other smaller gear this is the box to get.

Pelican 1170 gun case
This is a very nice gun case. I've had problems with rust so it was important for me to get a waterproof gun case. It's large enough to fit my pistol plus my 3 mags which it does with ease. This is a very nice gun case which serves all my needs
