I am a marine engineer who works on the Mississippi and Illinois rivers. We do our crew changes by van, and everybody's luggage ends up in the rear of the van. With this case, it's no problem if my laptop ends up on the bottom of the heap, I know that it's OK. Plus, I know the computer is protected against all the knocks that are dished out on steel hull workboats as we go back and forth, not to mention safe from water splash. Wish I had found these early on, I never would have wasted money on cloth bags. Pros: Ruggedness Cons: A bit heavy

Excellent service once again

Very happy with the quality of the product, even if with all the added extra things I carry for my laptop being hard to fit it still is the best case out there.
Service, was once again excellent and quick and the price can't be beat. I couldn't find a used case for that price. I'll happily return here.
Pros: everything you can always depend on from Pelican
Cons: A little tight on room for a 15" laptop, a trackball mouse, a graphics tablet and a 3D mouse. Fitting the extras is a little hard.

Combat Rugged

Bought this case for my new Asus laptop for my deployment to Afghanistan. Locks up for protection from theft and keeps the elements out. Makes a nice laptop desk when using the laptop.
Pros: Super rugged
Cons: None

I bought this item because of my deployment to Iraq. I was specificly looking for a hard exterior shell for the transport of my personal computer. I looked around on the internet and this case was the only one I could find that my computer would fit in and had the shell I was looking for. I have been nothing but satisfied with my purchase. This case has surpassed what I thought it was capable of. It even keeps the sand out when you are in the middle of the desert. If you don't have one get one. The price may be a little steep but think about it your computer is worth a lot more.
Pros: Hard shell exterior.
