Mine did NOT come with the mic.
The ad claims it comes with the boom mic. Mine did NOT. Didn’t realize till now that it was SUPPOSED to ship with the mic, so make sure yours arrives with the mic. Otherwise seems to be a great product.
Peltor Comtac V
Comtac Vs have always been a high quality product, but these do not disappoint. The hear through technology is on par with opscore amps and the new comtac 8, in my opinion the comtac Vs really outshines both of these platforms with the settings they offer. 1-Volume, 2-Equalizer (amount of sound the headset will search for). For the price you pay, these are truly the best option on the market. Rugged, proven, reliable.

worth it if you can spend the money
These are definitely worth it. This is my first set of peltors and I opened them when me and my buddy went to the range. He laughed when I put them them on and the first thing I said out loud was “oh, I get it”. They ware definitely pricey but personally worth it in my opinion.

3M Peltor Comtac V Single Downlead
Only downside is the cost but still cheaper than Amps. They are worth it in my opinion. Very comfortable. Easy to remove headband for attachment to helmet & can be kept for later use. Sound quality is amazing, better than your natural hearing. Rugged design for use in the harshest environments. If attaching these to a helmet, remember to use an amplified PTT.

Fast Shipping But Missing Gel Cup
I usually never write reviews when making purchases online. I read other people's comment and was expecting to receive my item in months, but they shipped my item on the second day and I got it the first thing the second week. Very fast shipping and I'm quite pleased. Only down side was mine didn't come with the gel cup.

Could wear for 10+ Hours
Don’t skimp on ear protection if you go to the range on a regular basis. I used to wear walker razors which are fine for the price point but I always leave with a headache after only a hour of use. The 3 dimensional sound quality on these is unreal. Pro tip, spend an extra $60 and get the gel ear cups, that takes this set up to a whole other level.

You can only lose your hearing......
I know, I know, these babies are fricken' pricey. But hear me out. You're hearing is as good as it's ever going to get at the this very moment. It WILL only get worse. So taking care of it should be a top priority, and these bad boys do just that. They fit fantastic, you have a comms connector so you can stay connected, and they work well with shoulder your weapon. So I don't know why you're still reading this, go buy yourself a pair and stay high speed.

Comes as seen
You get the new comtac 5 with the removable headband. It comes with a mic and of course has the single lead. That is all that’s included in the box besides batteries and instructions. If you’re buying comtacs then you know what you’re getting.

Sub Par for 3M Peltors
After waiting 4 months for production of these I have to say the quality of the outer casing seems sub par. I haven't had these for long so I cant comment on durability but I have faith in the name which is why it still gets 4 stars. The removable headband is a plus. They just feel cheaper.
