This is a one piece solution going full ambi on your lower. I think going full ambi now with modern ar15s should be a goal for all of us. The bad lever is solid in its construction and thoughtful in its design. If you notice the cut outs in the metal allow you to reach screw that would be other wise covered. The texture on the end that will contact your trigger finger is and keeps your finger from slipping the company also added that type of texture to the lower portion of the device on the weak side. This is a good touch for the lefties that still want to drop the bolt using their trigger finger, in this instance the device would act like an extended bolt release.

Overall this is a very well built product and I highly recommend it
