Good Rifle case
It's a nice rifle case for light travel to the range and back or on the boat. If you want air travel, you might want to consider something more substantial. I got a real deal on these and free shipping beats everyone else, on line or brick and motor store.

They must use toy rifles in the photos for Plano cases. The Plano single case barely fits most medium size scoped rifles with the rifle rubbing against the top & bottom, plenty of length though. This double case easily fits one gun with about 4 inches extra space. All the other double cases I could find were too expensive for what I wanted, just sturdy enough for trips to a local range, so this was a good deal. I wouldn't use this on an airline or for a shipping company. It would be OK as an inner shipping container if you had a heavy cardboard (at least) outer container about one inch larger on each side. The top foam pad falls out every time I open the case, a minor problem that I think some double sided sticky tape will cure when I get around to it. I'll leave the bottom pad unattached to provide storage for small, flat accessories.

- personal transportation without the need for airline security.
