5 start tube, minus one star for bright white POF logo placement.
This tube is really good stuff. Relatively light at 3.7 oz, and has the anti-carrier-tilt lips on it, which also serve to lock the tube in place with the buffer retaining pin. So even if your castle nut comes loose, the tube won't back out, which is (IMHO) a great feature. At the time I bought this, this was the least expensive option for a anti-tilt/locking 7075 buffer tube. The only two items I'd say might make you not want to buy it are:
1) They painted a bright white POF-USA logo on it that is highly visible when the stock is extended. I would have preferred matte black everywhere...

Very happy!
I have a PWS upper and didn’t realize that without an anti tilt buffer tube there may be damage to the lower and/or tube until I saw it happening. I looked into the PWS buffer tube which is very nice but significantly more expense. Didn’t matter because they are currently out of stock everywhere. The POF buffer tube performs the same task, is very well made, and was available. The upper definitely is smoother. I am very happy with this product.

Outstanding Reciever Extension
This is my go to for buffer tubes..I get one for each new AR build or purchase. Enhanced Anti-til design, OTB drain holes, lightweight and strong. great for duty, sport or defense applications. I highly recommend this product.

Perfect for piston application
Over the years, piston driven AR's have come a long way. No one seems to have done it better than POF. The system has it's inherent problems with bolt rise and with what's available on the market to mitigate these problems, this buffer tube is one of those puzzle pieces that needs to be solved.
I'm using this tube on a couple of my piston rifles and I've got thousands of rounds through my workhorse rifle and this tube has given me the piece and mind that it all works as intended.

Best Buffer Tube
I use these for all of my builds. They are expertly machined to completely cover the threads on the inside of the receiver, and fully support the carrier assembly in travel, while still allowing the separation of the upper and lower. It has drain holes in the end and in the stock adjustment pockets. It is beautifully finished with a subdued, black logo underneath,not an ugly white or other color logo like some manufacturers. If you are looking for the absolute best M4 style receiver extension/buffer tube, this is it.

great way to assemble your own P415 lower
I built my own P415 lower using a SilencerCo SCO15 lower and it turned out great. I needed this tube to ensure the bolt carrier group wouldn’t tilt and scrape against the rim of the tube while cycling.

Quality product
As a few earlier reviews stated, POF doesn’t put the white branding on the tube anymore, it’s a subtle redlined cut on the bottom of the tube. A must have for piston guns, a nice peace of mind for gas guns. I’ll be buying more soon. Fit, finish and overall craftsmanship were excellent.

Great receiver ectension/buffer tune
Thanks to POF USA for thinking outside of the box. This is a Great product. The anti tilt is a great concept and gives additional peace of mind and confidence in your rifle/carbine. I’d definitely refer anyone to this product.

Quality Buffer tube
I like the extended lip and price. Mine is all black with some branding text engraved by the position holes.
There is no white lettering as others have complained about.Purchased this to put under my PRS stock.
Installation to lower was fine no issues. I did notice that i will need to slightly sand my PRS stock adapter to get it to fit. For those familiar, the Gen3 PRS stocks come with a carbine buffer tube adapter but relies on running a plain jane milspec castle nut. I am running a PWS castle nut that includes a QD sling point. This feature creates a slight gap between lower and stock.
I did not dock any stars from the buffer review as my fit issue is due to my stock choice and castle nut preference.
Overall it is a solid buffer tube choice. I would buy again.
