Great for standard AR15 barrel nuts or nuts for PRI handguards. Very strong have taken on and off barrel nuts up to 80 ft-lbs with 3 ft breakers and there's 0 sign of deformation or fatigue. Of course since this has 5 engagement points it has to be able to fit on over your barrel, so mostly likely you will need to remove muzzle device and gas block to use.

It was time to change a barrel on one of my service rifles before the shooting season starts. This was the original barrel on this upper, with 3,800 rounds through it. The barrel nut tool I had from another barrel job worked well last time. It’s a half circle shape, with nubs to engage the slots on the barrel nut. But not this time, the nut was torqued well over 70 lbs before it slipped and sheared off 2 of the teeth. Serched the web, found this product. Went to their website like what I saw and purchased it here. I also bought a new barrel nut. The old barrel nut came off with no problem. Torqued the new nut to 45 lbs. the fingers on this tool completely engage the nut 360 degrees. This is only for barrel nuts, no bottle openers, or extra features. A superior tool made in USA.

Multi-use AR tools usually include a feature to remove a USGI barrel nut. These can work fine . . . if the nut was not over-torqued at the factory. This tool is sufficient for the job. It is a must for installing a USGI barrel nut to spec. The ability to use either size torque wrench is great. Quality is beyond sufficient.

I had a stubborn barrel nut that I could not get broke loose, I have all the Armorors tools, torque wrench and etc. so I bought this and attached to my torque wrench and it broke free immediately. Perfect size and I highly recommend it.
Pros:
- Perfect size, durable, good button placement for side mount

Bought for what may be the only time I'll ever use it. Happy about the quality for the price. Fits nice and tight. Very heavily made and sturdy.
Highly recommend for those that don't want to spend a fortune on a tool that gets used once, or once in a great while.
Pros:
- solid construction
- Tight fit
- Not expensive
Cons:
- Not cut open for placement. Requires running all the way down the barrel.

The Precision Reflex Barrel Nut Wrench for AR15, Assembly Tool does the job. What more can you ask for from a wrench. It is a lovely black color, and black goes with everything. If you need to tighten or loosen and AR-15 barrel nut, this is the right tool for the job.

I already owned an AR multi-tool that was not user friendly. The barrel nut wrench kept slipping. I took a chance, & bought this dedicated barrel nut wrench, & could not be any happier w/ the ease of use. It never slipped because the pins fit better, & went deeper into the nut. Great tool, far surpassing my expectations. I highly recommend having one if you like working on AR’s.
Best Used for:
- Free float barrel nut install

I am very pleased with this wrench. While it is tempting to buy a combo tool for AR/M work, the reality is that dedicated barrel wrenches are generally easier to use properly, have superior design and construction and do a better job. This particular wrench is built like a tank. The pictures do not do justice to how thick and sturdy the main plate is, and the 5 posts and flat face give added stability and assurance that it won't slip out like the combo tools easily do. There are holes for both 3/8 and 1/2 drive torque wrenches which is a nice touch. Also important is the lack of powdercoating or paint. This is actually a plus, as it guarantees that the pegs fit properly in the nut. Some of the lesser wrenches are coated so thick that you can hardly fit them into the holes on a free-float nut. There is only one potential drawback, but it is pretty obvious in the picture. This wrench cannot be used with the gas block/front sight in place. For me, this is not a problem as I'm generally using it to swap barrels that either already have a low-pro removable gas block on them, bull barrels etc.. The only other suggestion that I have is that it is very helpful to saw, scribe or paint lines on the sides of the tool that correspond to the pegs. This will simplify your life when you're tightening the nut and trying to line up the gas tube hole. All in all, 5 stars. Nice product.
Pros:
- Price
- Quality
- fit & feel
- Ease Of Use
Best Used for:
- Barrel nut
- Castle nut or delta ring removal.
