The description should let you know you might have to do one little bit of modification. The stock barrel bushing on a 1911 is a bit smaller than this comp barrel bushing so you’re not able to just slide the plug in after you install the comp bushing, the way I made it work was taking a file to the plug & shaved off one tiny little bit which made it possible to install the plug before the comp bushing to make it all work. Once installed everything functions properly, only thing I wish I had done was put some type of marker on the plug so I knew what direction I had shaved the one little bit from when I go to take everything apart…

Decent “compensator” for the price
I was skeptical when I purchased this. It does add a little mass to the front end of the slide. May require a different recoil spring if too light/heavy. No cycle or FTF with a light spring and 230 grain ball at 950 FPS. I did have some slight fitting to do. My only complaint is more cosmetic but there is about .010 to .020 gap The between the slide face and comp/barrel bushing face.
