Only issue is the set screw for the receiver support stud works itself loose. Otherwise works great. I used it to get the barrel off an aero m5.

Worked great for installing muzzle device. Way cheaper than than other reciever rods. If I was building a new rifle every other month, sure I'd spend the extra on the more expensive rods, but as I probably won't touch this thing again for years, it was good enough to get the job done and not break the bank

Item works with AR10 builds. Used with Aero Precision upper and a Faxon barrel, worked great.

Excellent tool for holding the upper steady for barrel work or optics mounting. Sturdy and well made at a fair price. If you need something to hold your AR-10 upper receiver in place, this is your tool.

Very happy with it , works great! I have run it up to 80 FT POUNDS with no deformation on the barrel extension lugs (I was told it was able to handle 95 ) so being aluminum, I am extremely happy with it and the price point! I will be purchasing the ar-15 version soon.
Cons:
- Sail could be longer for more support
Best Used for:
- Barrel nuts and muzzle devices

Worked perfect in my AR10 build. If you're confused about the .936 gas journal, all it means is that it will work with AR10 barrels/uppers and not AR15. Has nothing to do with the gas port size on the barrel. (So will work with an ar10 barrel with a .750 gas port)

It does not fully fit tightly with the lugs on 308 barrel. It allows too much flex in the receiver while torquing the barrel nut. Easily 10 degrees. Pacific machine and tool might be a better option.

If this barrel rod is all you can afford it works ok but if you build ars all the time you will want to buy a steel one my biggest complaint is shipping op ships at a snail’s pace

when i first got this it wouldn't slide into my Aero M5 upper with the locking lug out. had to sand the sides of the locking lug so it could be inserted into my receiver far enough to mate with the barrel extension. overall alot cheaper and more readily available than others out there.
