I really enjoyed the sturdiness of this product. It was heavy and felt durable enough for hunting. It mounted easily to my AR, but from there I had issues that were just personal preference. The ACSS reticle is great for some people, but for a hunter it seemed too busy and impractical. Not only that, the 1/2 MOA turrets aren’t exact enough for my liking, so I had to send it back. Great optic don’t get me wrong, it just wasn’t what I was looking for.

Put it on and AR and like it pretty well. Clear glass, retical is very good and easy to use. No complaints with it.
All ok with only one small issue. Not an issue as much as an item characteristic. I find the eye relief to be a bit short. Have to mount the scope as far back as possible and then also have to shorten up the stock a bit to get the best view in the optic. This short eye relief seems to be a characteristic of these prism scopes. Having said that, I will use and like it, it will suit my purposes well.
I recommend it.

I've been using my PA 3X Prism scope since August of this year. I'm glad I chose this optic over a normal red dot. It doesn't need a battery to operate. The focus ring let's you adjust focus for your eyesight, so reticule is crisp. It has ranging bars and Bullet Drop Compensator, wind hold indicators and moving target indicators. It can be used effectively out to 600 yards, but the great thing is you can use it for CQB despite it being magnified at 3X power. This is a phenomenal optic for the price and it's durability is proven.

Picked up the genII for my new build - its as good as the original.
Holds a zero even if banged around, lightweight, good illumination at a great price. Clear glass, clear recticle. Perfect for the range.
Nice colorway. Would buy again

I bought the Primary Arms X3 Prism scope a few months, and I am impressived with the quality of the optic. The 3x Zoom is a great match for 300 yards and in. The reticle allows for great range finding and even a CQB ability. Very solid, and forgiving eye box. It's the poor man's ACOG, but a great deal at that. My only gripe was the battery location/size. I am just not a fan of the button style batteries. Takes one and lasts quite a while if you don't have it on full blast for hours on end.
Optic's Planet was of course, great to deal with but that was expected.

I would give this a 5 star but it has a battery. My issue with batteries is if or when they leak an optic if there's no lifetime warranty you're hit getting another one(I don't know what kinda warranty this thing has off the top of my head just how I feel about batteries) ...it's also heavy. 0-25 yards is rough however optic has a rail for a red dot(defeats the purpose if you have astigmatism). Last my research on the battery life is around 1900 hours, it be nice to see double or triple that(however etched glass means you still have a usable optic with failed batteries).
With that said I freaking love this thing. I read some reviews that the reticle is small but it's perfect sized. Kinda busy until you know how to use it. I put this on an ar pistol and feel it's overkill seeing it can reach out 600 yards. It really is an ACOG on a budget. I would love to see this with a fiber optic rail to gather light instead of a battery. I have an astigmatism and the diopter can adjust to make it crystal clear an advantage over an ACOG. When my buddy looked through it his first response was the reticle was to busy for his taste. After I explained how it worked he fell in love and asked me how much it was. Now he's trying to get one. At the end of the day I recommend this optic to anyone that shoots 5.56. There is no video or review that I have found that can truly explain how amazing this optic is.
Pros:
- Afffordable
- Durability and dependability
- Etched reticle visible even if battery fails.
- Etched glass reticle gives a sharp aiming point even with a stigma
Best Used for:
- shooing
- quick aquiring targets without a spotter

I bought this for use on one of my AR-15's. It is an easy scope to use and the lighted reticle helps in lower light levels. I recommend this scope highly and I will be buying more of them. This type of reticle is somewhat different than I was used to but once I got everything sighted in the target acquistion became fast and easy.

The Gen II 3x Compact Prism Scope with the Illum ACSS CQB-M2 5.56 Reticle is a very good addition to my firearm. It is easy to use and the reticle is both lighted and non lighted giving it the ability to fuinction in most every light level. The reticle gives you quick acquisition and targeting making it a dream to use. It does take a bit of getting used to if you've never used this style of reticle but you should be able to adjust quickly and efficiently.

After all the research of different scopes and owning a Vortex scope I decided to go with Primary Arms because of the prism scope helps those with astigmatism which will help a lot. I highly recommend this scope to those who do not want to pay high price for a scope to get the same effect.

This scope is perfect for an AR-15. In my opinion for close to up to 50-60 yards, its perfect. The reticle is sharp, clean and easy on your eyes. Its amazing how it directs your vision to the "horseshoe" reticle. If your planning on going out over 100 yards and putting 200 rounds down range, you might want to chose another scope. The knobs are solid, it comes with lense covers and is a well built scope for the money. I haven't had to use the illuminated reticle but it works and is crisp. I would recommend this for others.
