Most Helpful Positive Review Great all around scope!
Mounted this on my Arsenal to tighten my groups and this scope really holds up to the beating of an AK. Great scope from a reputable company at an awesome price...You can't ask for anything else. Would definitely recommend this to everyone.
Most Helpful Negative Review The mount sucks
The optic is a little heavy and long for a 1-4x but not bad. The red dot washes out even on high. I took it to shoot it and turned it all the way up but even on a cold, overcast December day in the woods, the dpt was not visible. Another major drawback is the mount. It stripped out the mount screw. ...

Large and heavy compared to other LPVO's

by Slonjo, Verified Owner from WI, United States Written on May 11, 2022
Well built, sturdy with good capped turrets with nice tactile feedback. Comes with protective caps which I appreciate. All optics should provide these. Average eye relief and decent enough glass. I like the reticle but it is a bit large/thick. Takes up a lot of the view. The illumination is pretty much useless. The illumination is about a 1-2 MOA dot, not the entire reticle which is fine but even on the highest setting you can barely notice it in a dim room. This makes all but the highest illumination value worthwhile. Might as well just be on/off. This optic is very large and heavy especially considering that it's SFP and only 1-4 power. I wouldn't say it isn't worth the money but the size and weight for the power and features does not line up for me. There are better, lighter-weight options with better reticles.
Pros:
  • good glass
  • Nice reticle
  • Good turrets
  • Well built & durable
Cons:
  • Limited illumination
  • Large and heavy.
Best Used for:
  • setups not concerned with weight

Best Value illuminated 1-4x for tight budgets

by Q671, Verified Owner from GU, United States Written on March 29, 2022
After mounting, zeroing and time at the range, this optic hits way above its weight class.
Glass, clarity and crosshair dot reticle made it easy to shoot surprisingly tight 1-2” 100 yd groups. 30mm tube, but not quite daylight bright illumination still made target acquisition easy in less than high noon environments, sunrise, sunset or indoors. Only con is she is a little long. Takes up a lot of rail space.
Mounted on a semi 7.62x39 and no complaints after 100+ rounds. Reticle is outstanding for small or large targets within 100 yards.
So pleased with the value, I bought another one and mounted on same caliber CZ527.
Note: Both rifles previously had 3-9x 1” tube scopes. Huge difference noticed. Have not tried midrange target shots yet…but very pleased at 100 yds and in.
Highly recommend for most value on a limited nudge and any engagements/sporting applications out to 300 yards.
Pros:
  • None
Cons:
  • Overall length

Primary Arms scope

by Darren, from NY, United States Written on August 5, 2021
I just built my son his first AR-15 and wanted a cheaper scope for his rifle. It more than met my expectations. For the price, this scope is more than acceptable. Quality product, from a quality company. He’s used it up to 200 yards with a clear view, which is the longest range we have on Long Island
Pros:
  • easy to focus
  • Easy to site in with great quality lens
Cons:
  • Resetting zero is easy enough, but they should supply better instructions
Best Used for:
  • Anything under 200 yards

Okay "LPVO" for the money

by SDG, Verified Owner from NC, United States Written on August 23, 2020
I've run the PA 1-8 ACSS LPVO before, and it's a good entry-level optic with a great reticle, so I trusted the brand and thought, "Why not give it a try?". This is nowhere near as nice. I'm running it on a 22lr M4 clone plinker, so it's fine for this application, but I kinda wish I had spent a little more and gotten something a little nicer. In full disclosure, the first one received wouldn't hold zero, but the replacement seems okay. Overall...well, it's just okay...
Pros:
  • Price
Cons:
  • Quailty
Best Used for:
  • plinking

by Keltec su guy, from PA, United States Written on July 26, 2020
I have this puppy mounted on a kel tec su16 and haven’t had an issue with it I like the basic radical easy to pick up and the glass is clear enough for what I need. I gave it 4 stars because there is always room for improvement, would buy again tho.

Great simple low power scope with excellent glass and illuminated reticle

by Benjamin, from GA, United States Written on March 13, 2019
I decided to take the red dot reflex and go with a low power variable zoom scope. For the price you can't beat this primary arms illuminated reticle and the eye relief is incredible at 1 or 2x zoom which is what I was looking for. The illumination will help with low light hogs with my AR. Easy and fast shipping from optics planet finishes off a great deal on a great scope
Pros:
  • Excellent value
Cons:
  • none yet

Bang for the buck

by John, from TX, United States Written on November 4, 2018
Good price & good scope hard to beat the price point and quality if you’re on a budget. Currently using it as for full power loads on a 300BO and using my eotech for subs. This scope has had me debating getting another for my next build. Really likely to purchase again.
Pros:
  • quality/ price
Cons:
  • Fairly big
Best Used for:
  • Plinking and budget friendly builds

It will do

by Retired LEO, Verified Owner from AL, United States Written on October 23, 2018
This was purchased for plinking and fits that perfectly. As the price suggests you aren't getting a Leupold or Steiner so don't expect it to be. Glass is decent and I had no trouble seeing the dot(highest setting) unless I was looking directly into area of rising/setting sun. The only issue I have is the adjustment at rear of the scope can be moved easily, I used a couple of o-rings to fix that. As of the time I'm writing this it has held zero even after riding in the rear floorboard of my truck for the past month so I feel it is adequate for what I want.
Pros:
  • Cost, easily zeroed, durability
Cons:
  • Only what I mentioned above
Best Used for:
  • Plinking, varmint gun
