PA brought FFP scopes to the masses and I am grateful. Creative ETCHED reticles show a constant effort at innovation and improvement. This model has the ACSS Christmas tree with ILLUMINATED HORSESHOE and is what I'm reviewing. With illumination turned on the Horseshoe becomes a Red Dot bright enough to see at midday. You can be quick on close targets and pick up the fine FFP reticle at dusk, in dark woods, or at close range. It's a brilliant solution. Utilizing its mil-scale Christmas tree + windage dots, your hunting rifle or AR can regularly ping steel a thousand yards away. BUT!!! There's one glaring flaw: On this model, the vertical crosshair ends 1 mil down from the Chevron center, leaving a full mil of empty space. This is problematic. It means no reference points from 200m to 300m for most cartridges. IF ONLY the lower vertical crosshair had come up to 1/2 mil, this might have been the perfect reticle. Some argue the horseshoe occludes the target. The horseshoe serves its purpose well without being too distracting at high magnification. In my opinion, the upper vertical crosshair blocks more useful field of view, and could be deleted, but there is something about the traditional crosshair that draws one's eye to the center. On to the TURRETS. They're unnecessarily large and do not lock, lending themselves to accidentally turning on the move, especially slung. CLICKS ARE MUSHY and quiet, tactile and audibly. This might be why it sometimes seems to wander off zero. N...

Nice scope and holds zero well, but the point of impact shifts 4 inches downward at 100yds when change in magnification

Awesome scope! Primary Arms is becoming my favorite optics manufacturer. This glass is much better quality than I expected. The reticle is simple and easy to use. It comes with charts to show how to zero for different loads.
Pros:
- High quality and low price.

Ordered this nice little gem and put it on my Gen3 PSAr10. Great groups and great glass. Turrets and magnifier ring are pretty stiff. Would recommend getting a throw lever. After initial zeroing I placing three shot group within a 1/4 MOA at 100ish yards. Granted I had thrown the power to 14x. At 4x I was within 1MOA. Overall I am extremely impressed.
Pros:
- value
- Price
- Durability
- glass
- locking turret
Cons:
- Stiff adjustment for power

This scope is the bomb! Great finish and the ACSS HUD DMR reticle eliminates my need for a range finder. Love it!
The six illumination settings makes it easy to find a setting that works in any lighting conditions. The First focal plane design allows for fast range finding at any distance.

I’ve attached my Primary Arms (FFP) scope to my M1 A1 plate form with fantastic results. Being able to use the lighted reticle in low light makes accuracy right on. The ability to use the scope to get distance and movement off of the reticle very fast. Highly recommended this scope for use with close up acquisition and long distance targets. The lighted reticle makes all the difference when moving through rooms in CQCB with light changes. Used coupon to save on this purchase. Reasonably Priced. Fit and finish is excellent with very good clarity at all distances.

Can't beat this price and quality. The reticle is magnificent. I have only shot to about 200 yards but it doesn't miss a beat. Anytime this optic is blew $300 it is a great deal. Not to big for and rifle. Clear glass and no issue with holding zero. Best options not to break the bank.
Pros:
- clear glass
- FFP reticle
- On and Off intervals

The scope is solidly made but not too heavy. The rage finding system works very well, and the glass is as clear as any scope in this price range , and tracks well. As an interesting side note there is a You Tube video on how to easily add a zero stop feature to this scope using only plastic washers , and on using the range estimation system. All in all an excellent scope for this price range.
Pros:
- range finding system , quality
Best Used for:
- entry level long distance shooting

There are no calculations or manual needed after figuring what the reticle means. I don’t know how any other scope would be adequate after this scope. I am spoiled now. I have not shot it past 300 yards but I am pretty confident I can hit 600 yards plus easily. The range finders are awesome. 3 different ways to find the distance of a target. So cool!

Finally got to the range today to sight in this scope on my 20" barreled AR15. Used many different brands of 55 grain ammo. Final zero set with Federal and Hornady 55 grain loads. After zeroing at 100 yards, the scope worked perfectly as advertised at out to 800 yards (max yardage at range I was at). As there was no wind today hits were very easy on 1/2 sized silhouette target. Image through scope was clear and bright through the glass. Adjustments were true both vertical/horizontal. Fantastic scope for the price!
Pros:
- Price, glass clarity, reticle, ranging ease
Best Used for:
- Long range semi precision, DMR use
