Ordered this accidentally. Item info didn't have "not compatible with 5x micro prism", so I assumed it was. High quality as per most Primary Arms products. Still waiting on my refund.

Was a Trijicon loyalist for years until I got hooked on the ACSS reticle in my 4X ACOG and then started buying PA simply because of the ACSS throughout their lineup. The plastic Tenebrex killflashes are $80, and are just so-so quality and the ACOG model has a pathetic mounting "solution" that screams afterthought. The MRO models at least clamp on whereas the ACOG one secures with and elastic o-ring that never really holds it in place confidently. When I got my new 5X and 3X micro prism PA sights I immediately popped for the PA brand killflashes and was a)blown away by the quality b)pleased with the secure, thread-in mounting c) impressed with the aluminum construction throughout d) confident in the way PA obviously designed these parts as a system from the ground up. Honestly, Trijicon is resting on their reputation at this point. I'm PA all the way.
Pros:
- Low profile
- Well thought out
- Aluminum and not plastic
- 100% secrue, thread-in fixturing
- Inexpensive but high quality

What else can I say? Come’s with the mount, just focus for your eye, zero and you’re done. Uses ACOG mounting parts so if you want or need to get creative, it’s all available.
Just an easy, relatively inexpensive answer to durable magnified combat optics.

This attached to my SLX 5x prism perfectly and I was able to reattach the flip up scope cover as well. I can not tell that it's even one when looking through it too. Game changer for sure !

Great anti-reflection/glare device. Keeps sun off the glass so no glare or glint, all around an excellent value and must have for your slx prism optic.

As with many optic attachments, the threads on this are VERY fine. I have two of the Primanry Arms 5x scopes and the first went on fine, unfortuantly I messed up on the second due to the super fine threads and cross threaded both the optic and the ARD (fortunately Primary Arms has a lifetime guarantee and are in the process of repairing/replacing both the optic and the ARD)
Other than then that small issue (which is my fault) the ARD works great and has very little impact on the percieved brightness/clarity of the optic.
It would have gotten 5 stars if both ARDs had gone on without issue.

Well made, very little difference in light gathering. No difficulty in screwing onto scope. Would be very difficult to reveal flash with this on. Should be standard on all scopes in the market. Light, doesn’t add much weight or size to the platform. Plastic, so should be able to take some bumps

The kill flash fits perfectly on the 5x acog by Primary Arms. When I started to screw the kill flash in to place, I thought maybe I got the wrong one, but it was just the fine thread not aligning to start. Once started, it spun freely till it got to the halfway point. From that point the threading tightened up considerably. Once it bottomed out, the kill flash lined up perfectly with the scope making for a solid, firm fit that looks good. Haven't experienced any issues since. It hasn't backed off or loosened and so far, perfect.
Pros:
- Solid fit with color matching
Cons:
- Additional overall length
Best Used for:
- Lens scratch resistance
- Sun glare reflection off front lens
