I wanted to try the ratcheting castle nut/end plate design so just ordered the kit with buffer tube.
Really glad I did. All components are excellent. Well made, solid finish, easy to install.
The buffer tube is "engraved" stamped with the various positions, lightweight design and the fluting just looks nice. Anti-tilt design seats the buffer tube lip around the buffer retaining pin.
Not having to stake a castle nut is awesome. Ratchets onto the end plate and can be removed if necessary.
Still uses the same castle nut wrench, no special/proprietary tools needed.
The QD sling swivel socket in the rear is great and very useful as it allows both lefties and righties to use a sling there without any reconfiguring or having "extra" snag points.
I put mine on a CWAR build I have been working on, using the Kaiser US polymer receiver set.
Love it. Plan to get the same kit for any other future builds I do, which is at least 2 more right now.
Even if you don't want/get their buffer tube, the ratcheting endplate/castle nut can be bought separately and used with any mil spec receiver/buffer tube setup.
Pricey but I think it is well worth it for a quality product with thoughtful, innovative design.

I purchased this set primarily for the lightweight buffer tube. It is amongst the lightest available at 3.1oz without using carbon fiber. The tube itself is well constructed with excellent threads and decent anodizing. Now for the cost, I wouldn't exactly go this route but as mentioned this is go...

most solid buffer assembly
Most secure buffer assembly that I have used. The end plate has a great qd slot and the ratcheting castle nut was easy to install and works better than staking a mil-spec castlenut

SO SIMPLE its not fair lol
This worked so well on my last build I decided to use it on my PWS mk109 mod2 build. No need to stake this bad boy the ratcheting mechanism does all the work for a super solid lockup. Shipped fast and arrived as advertised. HIGHLY recommend it!

First time using the gen2, used the gen1 a lot with builds.
Solid and tight lock up and great build quality. QD swivel is out the rear compared to the old models but it is still functional for my use.
