To say these run large, is like saying a 747 is about the size of two seat Cessna!

These run HUGE. I normally wear an XL and have a little bit of room. And I fully grant that a hunting vest should be sized to fit over insulated clothing, but come on.....this XL vest measures 59" through the torso. That is just ridiculously over sized. Carhartt, Columbia, North Face all say XL is 46"-48/9" and 59" would be a 4XL. So the sizing on these is just whack-a-doodle. The features and design seem good but I'm concerned with the button holes which seem a little weak. I would prefer a zipper because moving through brush, button plackets tend to catch on twigs. So I have to exchange this for a smaller size, and might drop down to medium or try to find out direct form Primos what their size chart is. So order at least one size smaller than you would normally and maybe two sizes!

Not so happy customer!

I had to return the vest for a replacement. All the button holes were not stitched properly. Item has been returned but have not received the replacement. Not sure why it is taking so long. It has been over two weeks to date. Disappointed!

Thanks to your staff, I ordered an XL after being told the sizing runs large, which is true. I'm in between XL and XXL in sizes, usually. 6' 1" and about 206 # now, shrinking with old age. Vest is very well designed with well thought out features. A friend recommended it to me when he saw it on your site. He has had the Primos vest for years and I thought it was efficient and well thought out. Good item and excellent customer service!

  • Well organized and effficient design.
Cons:
  • Runs a bit large. Minor point.
Best Used for:
  • Gun hunting.

Primos gun vest

Great vest has storage for everything you’d need for a days hunt. Fits very nice and comfortable. Looks to be a great quality vest for everyday use. Should last for many years!!! I’ve told all of my buddies about it and they’re planning on purchasing one for them selves. Thanks!!!

Great vest!

Bought this for my son. He loves all the pockets for organizing and carrying all his hunting gear.Size runs a little big....but he can wear it over big hunting coats.No need to worry about broken zippers, the big buttons are much better

Great Vest for the price

I own this vest and bought this one for my son-in-law who is an avid hunter and really like mine when he saw it. Plenty of pockets and like the fact it has buttons not a zipper. Also like the fact it comes with a small compass and LED light attached to the upper pockets. I would buy again.

Gunhunter's Vest

Great vest. Plenty of pockets of all shapes and sizes. Extremely handy. Really like to use of the big buttons that you can actually work with gloves on. Other nice feature are the back pack and the seat.
