I received mine over a year ago. It was a special Jim Shockey model and came with the scabbard. The trigger locking mechanism is great. I have use for both revolvers and long guns. For narrow fore ends and revolvers, I like to place an old towel in the yoke. Can be easily used on uneven terrain. I know that they try to advertise it as one hand deployment, but it’s helpful to use both hands when spreading the legs. It offers ample vertical support for a hunting firearm.
Pros:
- Ease of use and adjustment
Best Used for:
- Steadying a firearm
- Confirming sites
- shooting extended range

This is a quality product. It preforms well a shooting tripod. Changing the heads is fast and easy. And getting it set for a shot a very easy. I recommend this as a shooting tripod. I do not recommend it as a tripod for a spotting scope. I used it on a hunt in Wyoming and found it to be a bit cumbersome to adjust to the desired location. It does swivel side to side, but the height is set by manipulating the legs. And small height adjusts are not the easy to accomplish. Also, the higher I set it from the ground, any wind made my full size spotting scope shake. Yeah, in a perfect world stay closer to the ground..good luck with that. If you only use it as a scope tripod at the range on calm days it would be find. But if you're looking for a scope tripod and shooting platform, this may cause some frustration. I will continue to use my Trigger stick gen 3 as a shooting tripod. The problems I encountered could just the I me, but I doubt it. I hope this is helpful.
Cons:
- Not ideal for spotting scope

The Primos trigger stick is so quick and easy to adjust for a steady shot, even on rugged terrain . Adjustable from 24” to 62” height makes tall model super versatile. Three dimensional adjustment with a quick pull of the trigger, holding tight upon release. Comes with quick detachable mounts for rifle or spotting scope.
Pros:
- Scabbard for easy transport, easy to use, works great
Cons:
- Pricy, but worth it
- No convenient way to store mounting accessories.

The adjustability is awesome. I used this as a tripod for my spotting scope and rifle. Love that it came with a scabbard. The hunting guide I went with even had the same one. Seems durable enough but only time will tell. So far I am very pleased with this purchase.
Pros:
- Adjustability
- Quick & easy to use

Pops out with a quick pull of the trigger and stops where you want. Twisting the mechanism to have the legs spread even further is kind of awkward. My biggest gripe is the strap on the bottom of the legs that hold them together. It's somewhat burdensome, and it adds difficulty to pulling it out of its carrier, also because the strap binds with the carrier pulling the legs out even without pulling the trigger. Overall a pretty decent product, but it's not super quick to take out and put up. The camera mount is a nice addition. It would be super cool if they added a picatinny rail mount

Works well and as advertised. Extremely heavy by the end of a day's hunt. They need to take out a lot of weight.I used mine in Africa last September and ended up having one of the trackers carry the unit. I was thinking about how heavy they would be hunting elk in the mountainsof Montana this Fall when I was on my own.

I've used the Gen 2 for years no issues. I decided to get the Gen 3 because it was easy to attach my Binos quickly while glassing for long stretches in Alaska while Grizzly and Caribou hunting. It is not very easy to place these sticks in you Pelican gun case as in the Gen 2. The large round base makes it very difficult . I normally could place My gun which is cut out into the foam, a soft case and the Gen 2. Now I can only get the Trigger stick and the gun with difficulty. Soft case I folded and placed into my luggage this trip. With the yolk lock at some point while going through brush on a horse, admittedly it was tight brush. At some point the yolk came off while locked!!. Not happy. The replacement cost 10.00 and I've not decided to replace it yet. This was not a problem with the gen 2. So if this situation does not apply to you well you it should be good. Debating on sending it back but without the yolk and no packaging left I'm SOL.

So easy to use especially in the dark. Great on uneven ground adjusts with just a squeeze of the trigger. The only thing I can think of that would be more helpful is if they incorporated some sort of clamp or vise to hold the gun a little better that the rubber strap. But a really good product
