For a few extra bucks, take a look at sordin’s line up. With two outings these are worth the just sub $200 price in 2021. Comfortable, excellent noise reduction without too much bulk and audio quality is superb. If your in the 100-150 range looking at peltor or walker these are better value for a little. Cons: did not receive batteries or aux cable. Apparently Altus Brands does not make mistakes and blamed OP. OP fast with rma for replacement and guess what, no batteries or aux cable. Owners manual clearly states included and Altus Brands agrees but isn’t interested in admitting fault. So if you ever need warranty safari land and sordin has your back, pro ears/Altus brands is questionable.

I chose to purchase a high-quality set of noise cancelling ear protectors based on reviews that emphasized noise suppression and sound clarity. This product didn't disappoint. Range commands are always clear and the report of full bore center-fire pistols is reduced to a mild 'pop'. The 'phones are lightweight and comfortable enough to wear all day and volume is easy to control. Everything I need; nothing I don't.
Pros:
- Lightweight and comfortable.
Best Used for:
- Target / Competition shooting

Now my family owns three pairs. I have had no issues with mine for over 2 years. Have use my pair for about 700 hours last year changed batteries about every 200+ hours. You can really hear conversation and blocks out loud shots. Wife uses in dance class for loud music but can still hear normal voices.

The Pro-Ears Slim Gold Earmuffs are the best ear protection that I have ever owned. The sound compression time is shorter than any other pair that I have worn. We shoot mostly on open range in the very windy Midwest which can cause quite a problem with some earmuffs when you turn up the gain controls for hearing range commands. With the Pro-Ears Gold you can turn up the gain controls without worrying about the wind noise coming through the microphones. The only down is the price.
Pros: work great,good fit
Cons: price

28 NRR not as quiet as my 33 NRR Pro Gold passive ears, but then you can't hear what anyone is saying with those. Also, the passive ears have much more bulk and interfere on rifle.
Pros: Comfort; Ability to hear others; Slim profile very helpful on rifle.
Cons: None so far

Great hearing protection,so comfortable, you might forget you have them on. I love the way that they compress the loud sounds instead of just shutting off and then come back on. Awesome product!
Pros: Soft Leather Ear Cups, Very comfortable, Compression instead of Clipping
Cons: None so far!

These muffs are great. The only time that I have had any trouble is when someone leans in real close and tries to talk to me as if I had passive muffs on. I have discovered that I could sometimes hear people several lanes down better than my shooting partner. Upon leaving the firing line and returning to the sales desk area is when I totally forget the muffs are on because they work so well in a normal quiet room that you forget they are on your head.
Pros: Works so well you forget to take them off
