Most Helpful Positive Review Pro 300 Headphones
Terrific deal for quality headphones. Great sound muffling and ability to hear range commands. If you are looking for a low profile set of headphones, this one is not for you. My only beef is they feel quite large and somewhat bothersome in shooting rifles.

Great Protection

by Mr Ruff, from FL, United States Written on February 23, 2018
These are great protection for the handgun range, especially indoor. Fast response time for noise reduction. They are bulky for long gun shooting. Downside is a battery use that is more expensive. Overall a good product....
Pros:
  • Fast response time
Cons:
  • expensive batteries X 4
Best Used for:
  • indoor ranges
Would recommend: Yes

Pro-ears disappointment!

by rifle, from MI, United States Written on August 11, 2017
First time I tried these was on an outside shooting range with police officers in qualification.
It accentuated the sound perfectly, but it did not deaden the noise any better than my $20 pair.
DISSAPOINTED!
Pros:
  • HEARING
Cons:
  • SOUND DEADENING
Best Used for:
  • KEEP AT HOME
Would recommend: No

pro ears 300

Most elect. earmuffs are 22-23 nnr, I was looking for something a bit higher and these do fit the bill. However they are bulky and can cause you to turn your head slightly when shooting rifle in order to accommodate face/comb/stock.
Pros:
  • high noise reduction
Cons:
  • bulky size
Would recommend: Yes

Good, not great

by BuffaloX, Verified Owner from CO, United States Written on January 8, 2017
Did a lot of research and decided on these. Looking to use something for ranges and training classes that require electronic earmuffs. These are very good quality. They are great at providing voice sound on the range. However, they were not great at sound protection on the range. I doubled up with good ear plugs. That provided great protection from loud sounds and enhanced voice hearing. In fact, conversation could be heard two lanes over. But, I was expecting better sound attack from these earmuffs alone. I recommend these, especially at the sale price, but temper expectations. I don't recommend using them alone with more than a .45 handgun in use around you as my .44 and another shooter's AR sent me running for the extra protection.

They're a bit heavy and bulky. Comfortable, but look elsewhere for low profile.

Optics Planet shipping and pricing was outstanding.

Pro Mag Earmuffs

by champco, from MN, United States Written on August 8, 2015
Very good product is excellent for handgun shooting and conversing on the range. Rifle is not so good because the size makes a cheek weld difficult and recoil will knock it off your ear. They are full sized and will not break down smaller for transport. They are comfortable and easy to put on and take off.
The sound suppression does not cut out like other products it just keep the volume low. These are great hearing protection.
Pros:
  • great sounding
Cons:
  • Size of muff
Best Used for:
  • handgun shooting
Would recommend: Yes
